Raju Talikote Funeral Details, Kannada Actor's Son, Bharat Shares Details About The Same

In a piece of tragic news, veteran actor and comedian, Raju Talikode passed away on October 13, 2025. He breathed his last at Manipal Hospital located in Udupi, and reportedly, the cause of his demise was a cardiac arrest. The Sandalwood actor was known for his humour timing, screen presence and also had an age-related illness. Now, Raju's son, Bharat, has shared when and where the last rites of his father will take place.

Raju Talikode's son, Bharat, shares details related to the funeral rites of his father

Raju reportedly had completed the shooting of his movie at 6.00 p.m. on October 12, 2025. He then, at midnight, had a heart attack after which he was taken to a hospital, although he could not survive. According to a Filmibeat report, Raju's son shared that the final rites of his father will take place at the family farm located in Chikkasindagi village in the Vijayapura district. The last rites of Bharat will take place on the evening of October 14, 2025, at the family farm, where family, friends and well-wishers will come to pay their last respects. Sharing the details, a teary-eyed Bharat said:

"We will first take my father's body to Dharwad Rangayana before proceeding to Chikkasindhagi village in Sindagi taluk of Vijayapura district."

Despite getting the best medical facility at the Manipal KMC Hospital located in Udupi, Raju could not be saved. His family, especially his son, has been devastated by the loss of his father. Raju was born as Rajesaba Maktumasaab Talikoti and came from the Chikkasindagi village, which was in Vijayapur's Sindagi taluk. The actor and comedian had become famous due to the drunk characters he had played in movies.

Did Raju Talikode also suffer a cardiac arrest earlier?

According to a report by OneIndia, Raju had earlier also suffered a cardiac arrest and for the same, he had received treatment. A stent was inserted in his body, and the report alleged that pressure because of the same may have come on his heart. Raju was in Hebri a few days back, where he was shooting for a movie which was led by Shine Shetty. Earlier, the actor had received treatment for the same issue, reportedly at Jayadeva Hospital located in Bengaluru; however, this time Raju became unlucky.

Raju Talikode had done more than 70 Kannada movies

Bharat, had earlier remembered the contributions made by his dad to the theatre scene of North Karnataka. He had done plays for like 35 years, and his service was recognised by the government. Raju was appointed as Dharwad Rangayana's director, and apart from doing 70 Kannada movies, he also had more than 10 releases that were awaiting. Raju liked to spend time in the farms, apparently, and hence his last rites will be done as per his wishes. Raju was known for his contributions in the theatre and cinema domains.

Raju's performances made him famous because of his exceptional acting skills, which he had before he even entered the movie industry. Raju had two wives, along with five kids, where two were sons and had three daughters-in-law, and all of them remained extremely close-knit. All of them had participated in theatre together, and Raju's son, Bharat, had also recalled how his dad's play, Kaliyugada Kuduka, had got him a lot of fame.
