The television and film industry is mourning the unexpected death of veteran actor, Satish Shah, who took his last breath on October 25, 2025. The actor tragically died due to kidney failure at the age of 74 in Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital. Now, Satish's on-screen son from the show, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, Rajesh Kumar penned a heartfelt note for the Kal Ho Na Ho actor.

On October 25, 2025, actor, Rajesh Kumar took to his Instagram handle to pen an emotional note for his on-screen dad, Satish Shah. For the unversed, Satish and Rajesh were part of the popular show, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. Rajesh Kumar who played the role of 'Rosesh Sarabhai' was the son of 'Indravadan Sarabhai'. In his heartfelt note, he mentioned that he feels like losing a father figure and requested fans to pray for him. Rajesh Kumar's emotional note can be read as:

"This is the worst hour for me.. I still cannot process that Satish ji is no more.. All I can say is that it feels I have lost my father.. A man full of life and humour. Challenging everything. Made his name left his mark as an actor.. This is a big big loss to the industry and us (Sarabhai's family). Let's pray for his departed soul and keep him in your prayers.."

Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is one of Indian television’s most beloved sitcoms, which focused on an upper-class Gujarati family in South Mumbai. The show originally premiered on STAR One from 2004 to 2006. Later, the show returned with Sarabhai vs Sarabhai: Take 2, which streamed on JioHotstar. The cast of the show included Satish Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sumeet Raghavan, Rupali Ganguly, Rajesh Kumar and more.

In 2023, Satish Shah had a reunion with his co-stars from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, including Ratna Pathak Shah, Rupali Ganguly, and Rajesh Kumar. The video started with Satish hugging the Anupamaa actress, Rupali Ganguly, and Satish was seen smiling and posing for the camera. He had spent a gala time enjoying the dinner and singing. The reunion holds a special place now, as it is the last reunion of the gang.

Satish Shah’s tragic death

Satish Shah's unexpected death has broken millions of hearts. The Main Hoon Na actor passed away on October 25, 2025, after being rushed to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai. The heartbreaking news of his demise was shared by filmmaker, Ashoke Pandit on his Instagram and X (formerly Twitter) handle.

A while ago, the hospital also issued an official statement, in which they shared that the actor was unresponsive when he reached the hospital. According to a report by NDTV, Satish Shah's last rites will be performed at Pawan Hans Cremation Ground, S.V. Road, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai, at 12 PM on October 26, 2025.
