When we were young, the brides we saw on television were always decked up in heavy traditional ensembles, glorifying their cultures on their wedding day. For instance, a Bengali bride was always decked up in red and white-hued sarees with chandan painted on their foreheads. On the other hand, a Punjabi bride was decked-up in patiala suit with her hair adorned with parandi (hair accessory), and so on.
However, over the years, wedding fashion has changed drastically. The lehengas came in the bridal picture and captivated every women's heart. The traditional ensembles took a backseat as brides started donning the heavily flared can-can lehengas for their big day. However, with the advent of the pandemic, we have seen many brides happily flaunting their traditional ensembles. And the bride of the week is no different.

The bride of the week, Pooja Singh is a designer by profession and co-owns a fashion label, Posheeda. She had tied the knot with the man of her dreams in Mundota Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan. However, the highlight of her entire wedding was her traditional look. The gorgeous bride had ditched the heavily-embellished lehengas and had opted for a Rajasthani poshak.
The bride had designer her own bridal wear from Posheeda. Her lehenga had featured a flared skirt with golden embroidery on the hem, a semi-sleeved choli and a dupatta with golden kiran. She had dolled up her look with a choker neckpiece, a satlada haar, matching earrings, a nath and a borla styled matha patti.
