Rahul Vaidya Slams Virat Kohli For His Clarification On Liking Avneet Kaur's Post, 'Algorithm Ne..'

Although he clarified that it was due to some algorithm issue, people can't stop talking about it. Amid this, singer, Rahul Vaidya took a new dig at the cricketer. Here's what happened.

Two days after Virat Kohli issued a clarification on why he 'liked' Avneet Kaur's photos on Instagram, a new controversy around him has taken form. It all started after singer, Rahul Vaidya shared a video wherein he took a subtle dig at Virat's clarification. He mentioned that the algorithm would have liked multiple photos of Avneet Kaur from Virat's profile just like it blocked him from the cricketer's Instagram handle. For those unaware, the singer has often mentioned that he is somehow blocked from Virat Kohli's Instagram. In Rahul's words:

"Guys, Virat Kohli has blocked me, you all know. So I think voh bhi Instagram ki glitch hogi, voh Virat Kohli ne block nahi kiya hoga. Instagram ke algorithm ne bola hoga Virat Kohli ko, ‘Ek kaam kar, main tere behalf pe Rahul Vaidya ko block kar deti hoon.’ Haina?"

When Rahul Vaidya's video went viral, several fans of Virat Kohli began to target the singer for his words. However, he remained unfazed and clapped back at the cricketer's fans. Sharing another Instagram story, Rahul Vaidya compared Virat's fans to jokers and wrote:

"Virat Kohli's fans are even bigger jokers than Virat."

Rahul Vaidya doesn't know why Virat Kohli has blocked him on Instagram 

Rahul Vaidya is a renowned singer who came into the spotlight when he participated in the first season of Indian Idol and then appeared on Bigg Boss 14. A few months ago, Rahul Vaidya shared that Virat had blocked him on Instagram. When asked about the same, he expressed his surprise and mentioned that he is clueless about the same. Explaining himself, Rahul penned:

“Aaj tak samajh mein nahi aaya, bhai ne block kyun kiya. I don't know the reason. I have never had any issues with him. I don't know if something ever happened."

What happened when Virat Kohli liked Avneet Kaur's pictures?

For those uninformed, on May 2, 2025, some fans noticed that Virat Kohli's Instagram handle had left a like in some of TV actress, Avneet Kaur's bold photos where she wore a chic green top and short skirt. It immediately created a stir, and some netizens began to criticise Virat Kohli for it. Consequently, Virat took to his Instagram handle and penned that it was caused by an algorithm glitch and there was nothing more to the issue. In the note, he wrote:

"I'd like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding."
