Akshaye Khanna's Brother, Rahul Reveals The Reason Behind Not Watching 'Dhurandhar', 'I'm Waiting..'

Akshaye Khanna is currently grabbing a lot of attention for both good and bad reasons. While he is facing legal issues from the team of Drishyam 3, he is also enjoying the grand success of his latest film, Dhurandhar. For the unversed, Akshaye Khanna has been receiving a lot of love for his role in Aditya Dhar's action film. Amid the buzz, his brother, Rahul has shared an interesting update about the film.

Akshaye Khanna hasn’t showed his film, Dhurandhar to his brother

During a recent chat with Mid-Day, Akshaye Khanna’s brother, Rahul revealed that he still hasn’t watched the action film, Dhurandhar. When he was asked about the reason behind not watching it, he shared that the Dil Chahta Hai actor has not shown him the film yet. Rahul also explained that he won’t see the film until Akshaye shows it to him. Rahul further appreciated Akshaye’s look and said that the actor looks good in everything. Rahul Khanna was quoted as saying:

"I haven’t seen the movie yet. I’m waiting for him to show it to me. Anything he wears looks great, so I’m sure he looks fantastic in the film."

During an earlier chat with The Times Of India, actor, Akshaye Khanna had opened up about his relationship with brother, Rahul, after being independent of their parents. For the unversed, Akshaye and Rahul are children of legendary actor, Vinod Khanna and Geetanjali Khanna. During the chat, Dhurandhar star, Akshaye had shared:

"In that sense, it hasn’t changed. But the immediate family for an individual is parents and siblings, and once that starts getting smaller, you hold to what is left even more."

Who is Rahul Khanna?

For those who do not know, Rahul Khanna is also an Indian actor, model, writer and television host. He was born in 1972, and is the elder son of Vinod Khanna and Geetanjali. Reportedly, he studied at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and New York University. According to IMDb, he made his acting debut with the 1998 film, Earth. Later, he appeared in films like Bollywood/Hollywood, Love Aaj Kal, Fireflies, Lost and more. It is worth mentioning that Rahul had a cameo in the hit film, Wake Up Sid.

Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar turned out to be the biggest films of 2025. The film led by Ranveer Singh, managed to impress the nation with its intense action scenes, powerful narrative and strong performances by actors. Apart from Ranveer Singh, the film also starred Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sunjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and more. The sequel of the film will be released in March 2026.

Talking about Akshaye Khanna, he played the role of 'Rehman Dakait' in the film. Ever since its release, everyone has been appreciating Akshaye's acting and dance moves on Fa9la. Within a few hours, multiple reels of Akshaye went viral on social media. Apart from Dhurandhar, earlier in 2025, Akshaye gave a blockbuster performance as 'Aurangzeb' in Chhava. Reportedly, Akshaye Khanna is the second Bollywood actor to cross Rs. 2000 crore in a single year, after SRK.
