For the unversed, Sweta Mishra and Rahul Arunoday Banerjee played the role of an on-screen couple, 'Queen' and 'Ujaan' in the TV serial, Bhole Baba Par Karega. On March 29, 2026, when the tragic accident occurred, Sweta was with Rahul. Along with Rahul, she also fell into the water. But somehow she was saved. However, ever since March 29, 2026, Sweta remained tight-lipped about the following. On April 6, 2026, Sweta took to her Instagram handle and shared the official post of West Bengal Motion Pictures Artists Forum, in which the organisation has announced a strike after a large protest in Kolkata demanding accountability and justice for Rahul Arunoday Banerjee’s death.

Following this, Aajkal Bangla tried to contact Sweta Mishra. Although they got a reply from Sweta’s WhatsApp account, the outlet shared that it was Sweta’s family who had actually answered. They shared that currently, the actress doesn’t have her phone with her. Sweta’s family revealed that the Bhole Baba Par Karega actress is mentally and physically devastated. They also mentioned that doctors have asked Sweta to stay in complete bed rest. Sweta’s family stated that she has always given priority to the truth, and Rahul’s case is no exception. They added that once Sweta is normal, she will make her own statement. Sweta’s family was quoted as saying:

"Shweta does not have her phone now. She was in such a big accident that she is mentally and physically devastated. The doctor has asked her to stay on complete bed rest. But she is such a person who always gives priority to the truth. As a family, we are trying first to ensure that she recovers as soon as possible. She has not forgotten her duty to the media, the people of the society and of course Rahul, whom she loved very much. Once she is normal, she will make her own statement. And will inform the media and lawyers of all the necessary things."

Soon after popular Bengali actor, Rahul Arunoday Banerjee drowned, a video of his co-star, Sweta Mishra, went viral. In the now-viral clip, Sweta spoke incoherently to the media about the tragic accident. Sweta shared that she and Rahul were shooting together. She was quoted as saying:

"We were shooting together just now. We were shooting together half an hour ago. We were shooting in the sea. I am also dead. Am I okay? Go and see Rahul da, is Rahul da okay? They are not letting me go."
