Raghav Juyal REACTS To Babil Khan's On-Camera Meltdown, 'I Can't Understand Why...'

Renowned Indian dancer and actor, Raghav Juyal has reacted to the now-deleted video of Irrfan Khan’s son, Babil Khan, breaking down on camera and calling out several industry figures, seemingly in frustration. This video sparked instant concern and confusion. Raghav was one of the names mentioned by Babil in the video, along with his industry peers, including Ananya Panday, Arijit Singh, Shanaya Kapoor, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. While Babil has since deleted his Instagram account, Raghav has now shared his take on the incident.

Raghav Juyal reacts to Babil Khan’s meltdown video

In an interview with The Times of India, Raghav Juyal spoke up about the shocking video, where he shared his reaction to the same. He talked about feeling ‘baffled’ at being labelled ‘rude’, only to later realise that it might have been a mix-up caused by miscommunication. Expressing his concern for Babil, the Kill actor also spoke to his mother, Sutapa Sikdar, following the incident. According to her, Babil was undergoing an anxiety attack and is currently in Hyderabad. Raghav said:

“I can’t understand why he has spoken like this. If you’ve seen my Insta posts, I have always been very supportive. He is obviously very disturbed… I spoke to his mother, Sutapa ma’am, and she says he is going through an anxiety attack. He is in Hyderabad. He is supposed to start shooting from tomorrow. Now he is coming home. He needs to rest, he needs to understand we are all there for him.”

Raghav, visibly concerned at seeing Babil Khan having a meltdown, showed compassion and stressed the importance of recognising mental health as a serious issue. Reflecting on his own experience, Raghav shared how he also underwent years of struggle to reach where he is now, starting his journey as a chorus dancer. In his words:

“Struggle toh sabko karni hoti hai. I was a chorus dancer. It took me years to get where I am. Compared to Babil, I feel like a veteran although I am not much older than he.”

Raghav Juyal clarifies that Babil Khan did not ‘call out’ anyone but wanted to name those who supported him

Raghav further clarified that Babil Khan did not mention names to call them out, but to acknowledge that they have been supportive of him. However, due to his overwhelming outburst, it all became mixed up and seemed as if he was lashing out at them. Siddhant Chaturvedi, whose name Babil had mentioned in the video, called Raghav to clarify the matter. Raghav shared:

“Siddhant Chaturvedi, whom Babil has also named, called me and said there was a mix-up. Babil meant to say I and some others were among those who had been supportive, while some others had been rude. It came out all mixed up.” 

Babil Khan’s team issues clarification

Not long after the video of Babil Khan’s meltdown went viral on social media, his family clarified that the actor was having a difficult emotional moment. They emphasised that the names he mentioned in the video, including Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, Arijit Singh, Siddhant Chaturvedi, and others, were actually spoken with admiration, not blame. Sharing the statement on his IG handle, Raghav Juyal extended his support and wrote:

“BABIL is my family and I am always with him no matter what.”
