'Vladimir' Star Rachel Weisz's Relationship With Daniel Craig, Secretly Wed After 6 Months Of Dating

Rachel Weisz is a well-known English actress. Her acting career began in the early '90s with stage and television productions. Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig first met decades ago in 1994, when both of them were cast in Les Grandes Horizontales at the National Theatre Studio in London. If reports are to be believed, Daniel was married to his then-wife, Fiona Loudon, at the time. During their marriage, the pair welcomed a daughter named Ella. On the other hand, Rachel was also in a relationship with her then-fiancé, director, Darren Aronofsky. While the split in November 2010, they welcomed a son, Henry, during their time together.

It might come as a surprise to those who do not know, but after just six months since Daniel and Rachel started dating, the duo tied the knot in a secret wedding ceremony in June 2011. According to a report by People, the actors wed in the presence of just four people – Daniel's daughter, Ella, Rachel's son, Henry, and two of their friends in New York City. While speaking to British GQ later, Daniel confessed that he had many people to thank for being able to get away with such a private wedding ceremony.

Almost a year after their wedding, Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz made their red carpet debut as a married couple in January 2012. This was for the premiere of the film, The Girl With a Dragon Tattoo, which took place in Madrid. Although they usually kept their relationship as private as possible, this did not stop Rachel from coming out in support of her husband's movie. For those unaware, in the film, Daniel played the role of ‘Mikael Blomkvist' opposite Rooney Mara.

On January 24, 2018, when Rachel was asked during an interview with the Evening Standard if marrying Daniel had changed her in any way, she was a little taken aback by the question. Despite this, she gave the best answer possible. Rachel humorously said that after her marriage, he wears her wedding ring all the time, and she wears it with pride because she is taken. She went on to give more insight into her thought process behind marrying Daniel. The Black Widow actress claimed that previously she had never thought that she would get married. In fact, Rachel revealed that it was quite the opposite of that, but still her wedding with Daniel “just happened, happily, at a more mature moment.”

Almost 7 years after Rachel and Daniel tied the knot, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together on April 20, 2018. Speaking to the New York Times, the actress said she and Daniel were really happy about the news. A few months after this, in September 2018, media outlets reported that Rachel and Daniel welcomed their first child together, a baby girl.  

Over the years, Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig have continued to support each other both in their professional lives and in their personal lives, resulting in a strong relationship.
