R Madhavan Lauds Wife, Sarita For Being A Great Support, Reveals Son, Vedaant's Strict Daily Routine

Bollywood actor, R Madhavan had become a household name after he played the role of 'Maddy' in the film, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Me. In an interview with Film Companion, R Madhavan talked about the difficult phase of his life and shared that he didn't make any money in the last 4 years. He revealed that he did only one OTT project to keep his life going and added that he feels constant fear about his upcoming film, Rocketry. In his words:

“I often worried now that I have a son. There was Covid. I didn’t make any money during Covid. I didn’t make any money two years before Covid because I was doing this film. The things that kept me alive were the one-off chances I took on OTT to keep the fires burning, but apart from that, I haven’t done any films. My last film was Vikram Vedha, so there’s fear, there’s constant fear why I put all my money where my mouth is.”

Despite not earning any money, R Madhavan was content in his own world. In the same interview, the actor revealed that his wife, Sarita had been a great support for him and lauded her for being the perfect life partner. He also talked about how his ambitious son, Vedaant makes him feel proud with his dedication and hard work. He said:

“So, when I'm with Sarita and we were talking about it, she has always been a great support in terms of strength. She says 'I've never seen you so happy. You're exhausted, you're pissed off, you're tired but you're sleeping with a smile on your face'. And I said 'I’ll trade all the money in the world for them'. Well, I don't talk about it often but our son is worthy for us and I'm always like 'Take it easy, man', and he says 'You take it easy.' I am very proud of him. And I'm proud of what Sarita and Vedaant have managed to achieve."

Though R Madhavan is a well-known actor, his son has carved his own name in sports. Further in the interview, R Madhavan talked about how people had judged him when he had moved to Dubai for his son, Vedaant's training. Calling it a great move, the actor revealed how his son has been giving his best and making him proud every day. The doting father shared:

"There were a lot of people who raised eyebrows when we moved to Dubai for his training but it is his growth spurt. It was during that time when he had COVID and all the pools were closed, so I had no choice. My wife just stood up and left and I had to run after her. It was actually a good choice and he's training really hard in Dubai. He has a long way to go. I remember I never had to go to his room and wake him up at 4 in the morning for the last six years. Whenever I see him, he's up and exercising. He goes to sleep at 8 at night, which is a rare thing to notice in teenagers these days. So, I'm assured that I don't have to worry about him."
