R Madhavan Feels His 'Net Worth Would Have Been More' If He Was Money-Conscious, 'Fizool Me Paise..'

R Madhavan is known for his versatile performance and grounded personality in the film industry. The actor has worked in films like 3 Idiots, Shaitaan, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, Tanu Weds Manu and more that has helped him to make a special place in the hearts of his fans. He comes from a middle-class family but made it big in showbiz with his talent and simplicity. Despite being successful during the last two decades, R Madhavan, in a new interview, admitted that his net worth would have been higher if he was more money-minded. However, the actor added that he didn't regret it and that his reason for doing so left surprised everyone. 

R Madhavan says he has 'spent a lot of money in the last few years 

R Madhavan is busy promoting his new film, Hisaab Barabar, in which he plays the role of a money-minded railway ticket checker. Recently, he sat down for an interview with Hindustan Times, where the actor was asked if he was money-conscious in real life. In response, R Madhavan admitted that he was far from being careful about spending his money. In his words: 

"I wish I was. My net worth would have been much higher than what it is,"

However, R Madhavan doesn't feel bad about spending more money and isn't upset because he spent his money on gaining experience. The actor admitted that he never checks on the money regarding experiences because he is always keen about it. At the same time, he feels that those experiences have taught him a lot. Interestingly, in a previous conversation, the actor shared that his wife, Sarita, believes he can't manage his money and is extremely generous regarding spending it. Explaining his reasoning for spending more, R Madhavan said: 

“Bahut se fizool me paise udaaye hain. But for an actor, that is necessary. It is because of all those experiences that I have been able to become an actor today."

R Madhavan reveals that people find him intimidating in general 

In the same conversation, R Madhavan revealed that despite having a fun-loving personality, people find him intimating, and it amuses him. He admitted that he also finds it strange because those who have met him clearly understand his nature. But, often, when he goes to a film set, several people share that he has an intimidating aura. However, the 3 Idiots don't understand the reason behind it. He said: 

"I don't ever remember yelling or throwing my weight around on the set. But I seem to have that effect on people."

R Madhavan's work front 

R Madhavan was last seen playing the antagonist in Ajay Devgn and Jyotika starrer Shaitaan. He is currently promoting his new film, Hisaab Barabar, co-starring Neil Nitin Mukesh and Rashami Desai. The actor also has an untitled film with Akshay Kumar and another with Kangana Ranaut in the pipeline.
