Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Shares Update On Rajvir Jawanda's Condition, 'Heart And Other Organs..'

The Punjabi music industry is still awaiting a health update on popular singer, Rajiv Jawanda's tragic road accident. The singer suffered an unexpected accident on September 27, 2025, while he was travelling towards Shimla on his bike. He was rushed to Fortis Hospital in Mohali and Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann recently opened up about Rajvir's condition. 

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visits Rajvir Jawanda in Fortis Hospital

On September 28, 2025, Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann visited Fortis Hospital in Mohali to check on Rajvir Jawanda's health condition, who was admitted after a severe road accident. After meeting him and his family, the CM spoke to the reporters standing outside the hospital and shared that the popular singer is in better condition. He was quoted as saying:

"Rajvir Jawanda was the victim of a terrible road accident. He has been undergoing treatment here since yesterday. His fans worldwide are praying for his recovery. Today, I met with his family and doctors. His condition is better than yesterday."

Mann continued to add that when he was brought yesterday, his heart and other organs were not functioning properly but is currently stable. He mentioned that Rajvir’s head injuries are slow but advice from expert doctors has been taken. He also shared that the doctors have told that he is not in a condition for an MRI. In his words:

"When he was brought in yesterday, his heart and other organs were not functioning properly... He is currently unconscious. Recovery from head injuries is slow... But advice from other expert doctors is also being sought. The doctors said that yesterday, he was not even in a good enough condition to be taken for an MRI."

Rajvir Jawanda is on life support

While talking to the reporters outside the Fortis Hospital in Mohali, Punjab Chief Minister, Bhagwant Mann revealed that when Rajvir was brought to the hospital on September 27, 2025, he was given immediate attention by Emergency and Neurosurgery teams. He added that detailed examinations were carried out and is currently on advanced life support. He shared:

"On arrival, he was immediately assessed by the Emergency and Neurosurgery teams. Detailed examinations and investigations were carried out, and he was placed on advanced life support at Fortis Hospital Mohali."

Rajvir Jawanda is a popular figure in the Punjabi music and film industry. Rajvir was born on June 20, 1987, to Sikh parents, Sardar Karam Singh and Sardarni Paramjit Kaur. He once went to Punjabi University located in Patiala and also took a training course with the Punjabi Police. From an early age, Rajvir received training in classical and folk music, which became the foundation for his passion for singing. He is known for songs like Kamla, Kangani, Sohni, Morni, Apne Vyah De Vich, Tu Dis Painda and more. 

On September 27, 2025, Rajvir met with a major road accident near Baddi, while travelling towards Shimla. Reportedly, he was riding on his bike, when he reportedly lost balance and sustained severe head injury. Allegedly, he was given immediate first aid before being transferred to Fortis Hospital in Mohali.
