Punjabi Bride Wears Baby Pink 'Lehenga', Sporting A Double 'Kaleera' Look For Her Wedding

There are too many restrictions because of COVID-19, and it has become difficult to plan a wedding. But as the limitations are getting curbed, the wedding vibes are coming back too. A wedding brings all the fun, laughter, positivity, food, guests and dance, thus unfolding many emotions. No virus can keep the matrimonial excitement at bay.

Marriage is a union of two souls for saat janam. All brides-to-be and grooms-to-be dream of their wedding day to be flawless. Nowadays, with every step of modernism, the brides and grooms try to balance their traditional culture and reflect their contemporary perceptions. A bride does not believe in wearing a red wedding outfit anymore; she now chooses her own colour palette. Our bride had opted for a baby pink lehenga for her D-day, and we can't keep our eyes off her!

The Bride

Bridal look

Let's meet our bride, Ravinder Kaur, who met the man of her dreams in November 2020 and tied the marital knot with the same man, Saheeb Singh, this year. This Punjabi couple planned their marriage in Delhi. They had an engagement party, along with other ceremonies, including sangeet, mehendi, and wedding. Ravinder had organised her wedding events that looked straight out of the pages from a fairy tale.

Chooda

Ravinder had looked absolutely gorgeous in a heavy baby pink lehenga, with floral motifs in resham and zari. She had chosen a soft, subtle pastel-coloured outfit for her wedding instead of bright tones. The lehenga had a curvy structure at the edge. Ravinder had completed her look with a yellow dupatta that gave a pop to her whole outfit and had paired it with kundan jewellery set with a maang teeka and nathni. But what had grabbed our attention was the double kaleeras. She had opted for umbrella-shaped kaleeras along with the traditional pearl-embellished ones with red chooda.

Kaleera

For makeup, she had opted for brownish-golden shimmery smokey eyes, and for lips, she had chosen a nude shade to go with her attire. Ravinder had tied her hair in a bun and had accessorised it with flowers.

The Groom

Saheeb

The groom, Saheeb Singh, had looked no less than a prince, or as his wife called him, 'Aquaman'. He had worn a white sherwani with golden zari embellished and had paired it with a pink embroidered doshala and jewelled pagdi. He had accessorised the look with a three-tier pearl beaded neckpiece and a sword. For shoes, he had opted for brown leather loafers.

Bride and Groom

They had planned their wedding according to Anand Karaj rituals. It's a Sikh ceremony. In all of their pictures from their D-day, they had looked like a match made in heaven.

Haldi

Ravinder

Ravinder and Saheeb's haldi and mehendi ceremonies were arranged in one day. And the bride-to-be had worn an orange brocade blouse with a green lehenga and an orange dupatta. With that, she had opted for floral jewellery, and she had kept her hair open. She had chosen yellow roses and Gypsos for her neckpiece, maang teeka, and bangles. And, for makeup, she had gone for very basic.

Bride and Groom

The groom had opted for a black printed galabandh shirt-style kurta and had worn it with white skin-fit pyjamas. He had looked absolutely dashing beside his gorgeous wife.

Engagement Party

Engagement party

Ravinder had looked like a princess at her engagement party. She had picked a peach coloured heavily embellished long gown and had paired it with a subtle dupatta. Her hairstylist had let her hair fall over the shoulders in wavy locks and had accessorised it with a pearl-beaded floral hairclip. She had completed her look with a sleek diamond neckpiece, bell-shaped earrings, and a beautiful bracelet. Her smokey-sparkly eye makeup with thick eyelashes and peachy lip gloss had given her the perfect finish.

Bride

While, the groom, Saheeb, had worn a black tuxedo suit with a white shirt and black bow, he had gelled his hair to give a polished look. How can you miss out on the black shoes that complemented the groom's entire outfit? Their pictures are the proof of them being so much in love. A relationship can face many ups and downs in the course. But if the couple faces the obstacles together, then nothing can come in between them.

We absolutely loved the Aquaman-Shortie jodi and their colour-coordinated couture for the wedding. But, what we loved more about them was how they had kept their Sikh traditions in mind and had incorporated that into their attires.
