Priyanka Chopra's mother, Madhu Chopra, recalled how bad-tempered filmmaker, Tarun Manshukhani was back when they were shooting for their 2008 hit film, Dostana. Priyanka worked with the director on the romantic comedy, but they had their differences. And Priyanka was extremely careful that she didn't upset Tarun.
Madhu Chopra recently sat for a conversation with Lehren Retro, where she revealed Tarun Manshukhani's behaviour with her daughter, Priyanka Chopra, during the shoot of Dostana. The doctor shared that she had called up the filmmaker to inform him that Priyanka wouldn't be able to shoot that day because she was sick. However, when Tarun responded with "How convenient." The comment didn't sit well with Madhu, and she clapped back at the filmmaker and stated:
"If you want her to die on your set, I’ll send her. But if something happens to her, but you’ll be responsible for it."
In the same conversation, Madhu Chopra shared that while they were friends now, Tarun still teased her by saying, "If you want my daughter to die…" whenever they met. This conversation came following Madhu's revelation about Priyanka being sick one day and how she had to stand up for her daughter so she could get the day off. It was also during Dostana's shoot that Priyanka had differences with costume designer, Manish Malhotra.
Madhu Chopra, in conversation with Lehren Retro about the incidents, revealed how Tarun had changed since the making of the film, Dostana. She called the filmmaker a 'scary man' and shared an anecdote from when Priyanka fell sick. She revealed that during the shoot of Dostana, Priyanka had fallen sick. However, she didn't want to be the one who broke the news to Tarun. She recalled:
"Tarun, as I know him today, was not the same Tarun. He was a very scary man. One day, Priyanka had a high fever. She asked for a pill, and I gave one to her. She was insisting that she’ll go to work. But even after an hour or so, the fever wouldn’t subside. I told her that she must rest it out and not go to work. She asked me to tell Tarun because she didn’t want to be the one to break the news to him."

"He picks up the phone and goes, 'Listen, people are going to come into the movies to watch her when she shows her panties. So the skirt needs to be really short so that I can see her panties. You know those people sitting up front? They should be able to see her panties.' And he said it like four times. And it’s not even pretty in Hindi. It’s worse."
