Priyanka Chopra has been grabbing a lot of attention, ever since she announced her return to Indian cinema with S.S. Rajamouli film, which was tentatively titled, SSMB29. For those who don't know, the official title of the film, Varanasi, was announced at the GlobeTrotter event. Amid that, it is Priyanka Chopra's entrance, which is making the maximum noise at the moment.

On November 15, 2025, the makers of the film organised a GlobeTrotter event in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. The grand event drew over 50,000 fans, but it was Priyanka Chopra's breathtaking entrance in a white lehenga. As soon as she faced the crowd, she greeted everyone with a namaste. Priyanka Chopra, who plays the role of 'Mandakini', chose a beautiful and elegant white lehenga with heavy jewellery. Apart from greeting the crowd, she also greeted director, S.S. Rajamouli, Mahesh Babu's wife, Namrata Shirodkar, daughter, Sitara Ghattamaneni and co-star, Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Priyanka Chopra opened up about returning to Indian cinema

During the GlobeTrotter event in Hyderabad, the Bajirao Mastani actress opened up about returning to India for a film. As reported by Indian Express, she first thanked the crowd, who came to the event in such a large number. Priyanka then expressed her happiness on returning to India for a film with such great artists. She shared:

"Namaskaram and thank you so much for having me. You have come here in such a big number and we thank you so much for that. You have shown us so much love, you have shown me so much love. To the media all over the world, not just in India. This is the land where cinema is celebration. I’m so happy to be back, making this movie in my beloved India. And I have said this before, and I will say it again, the best way to join Telugu cinema is to do it with the with the greats. And I think myself very lucky that I am able to work with such great artists."

The title of S.S. Rajamouli’s film is Varanasi

At the star-studded GlobeTrotter event in Hyderabad on November 15, 2025, the director of the film, S.S. Rajamouli officially revealed the title of his upcoming film. Along with the title, the makers released a motion poster, featuring Mahesh Babu on a bull. The title of the film is Varanasi. For those who don't know, a few days ago, the first look of Priyanka was shared on social media, which was widely appreciated by fans online.

Producer, Karthikeya got emotional at the event

At the same event at Hyderabad, organised by S.S. Rajamouli and the team also featured an emotional speech by the director’s son, Karthikeya, who is also the producer of the film. Talking about the same, he shared that he felt very small while working on the film because he was working with some legends. He was quoted as saying:

"I thought I would start by making small films, slowly grow as a producer, and eventually make a film with a star. I imagined it might take me 15 years. But things have turned out differently, and today my first speech itself is on a global platform. I feel small because everyone involved in this film is a legend, and I feel blessed. I don’t know if I’m worthy of this, but thank you, everyone."
