South Indian actress, Priyamani is known for her exceptional acting onscreen and sartorial choices. She has been part of the film industry for more than two decades. “I won’t kiss onscreen. That would be a no for me. I know it’s just a role and it’s my job but on a personal note, I won’t be comfortable if I’ve to kiss another man onscreen, simply because I’ve to be answerable to my husband.”

Further, in the same conversation, Priyamani shared that her decision came from a sense of responsibility towards her offscreen relationships. The actress revealed following the same principle right from her dating period with Mustufa. She added:
“I feel it’s a responsibility from my end. Even when we were seeing each other, I never got any role where I had to kiss somebody and even if I did, I would definitely tell them that I’m awkward.”
Priyamani was also asked about her family and in-laws' opinions about kissing scenes in films. To this, although she shared that her family and in-laws support her career, she revealed her opinion not to make them feel awkward. The actress said that whenever any of her films hit the theatres, her entire family used to sit together to watch it. Thus, her kissing scenes might make them feel awkward. So, it is her personal choice to opt for the no-kissing scenes in the films. Priyamani stated:
“I know that both sides of my family will watch any project when it comes out. They also know that it’s my job but I don’t want them to cringe. I don’t want them to think, ‘Why is my daughter-in-law doing this even after marriage? Why is somebody else putting their hands on her?’ They will not voice it out but it’s my personal choice.”
