Priya Misses Late Husband, Sunjay Kapur On B'Day, Drops Pics Of Step-Kids, In-Laws Amid Legal Battle

Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband and Sona Comstar's chairman, Sunjay Kapur passed away abruptly back in June 2025, leaving everyone shocked. He was playing polo when he swallowed a bee, which caused an allergic reaction in his body, ultimately causing a cardiac arrest and his demise. Following his death, several reasons have brought Karsima's family and Sunjay's family into the headlines, and one of these reasons was the property battle of Sunjay, which is worth Rs. 30,000 crore. Amid this going on, Priya bared her heart out, as she for the first time posted about Sunjay, since the time he died, to remember him on his birthday.

Taking to her IG handle, a while ago, Priya Sunjay Kapur dropped a video that consisted of several montages of Sunjay Kapur with his family members and his kids. In several glimpses, we could see Sunjay and Priya surrounded by their kids, including Samaira and Kiaan, who are the late businessman and actress, Karisma Kapoor's kids. As Priya is now fighting a legal battle in opposite to Karsima Kapoor's kids, the way she dropped photos of them with their dad, on his birthday, it surely will raise eyebrows yet again. In the video's background, we could hear Sunjay's little confession about his roles as a son, father and more, and it was heartwarming.

In the caption of the post, Priya Sunjay Kapur praised her husband, Sunjay Kapur. She used a quote from the Bhagavad Gita about a dutiful man and his actions. Priya revealed how she witnessed Sunjay passing storms. She shared how her late husband gave without expecting something in return, and how he carried a burden in his silence and calm, thereby turning every challenge into purpose.

Priya further mentioned that she's still able to feel her late husband's presence just beside her, through the smile of their son and in the stillness of the evenings. She further inked the caption with emotion while stating that her husband's greatest act was the way he loved selflessly and completely. An excerpt from Priya's note could be read as:

"They say a great man’s actions guide the world, but for me, your greatest act was how you loved, selflessly and completely. Some souls don’t depart; they expand. You are everywhere, yet still right here. My Sunjay, I know you are watching over me. Happy Birthday, J."

In the concluding segment of the post, Priya expressed her emotions through a video. She thanked her husband for his eternal love and tagged him as the 'best husband and father'. She also shared that Sunjay's vision will always be alive. Priya looked emotional at the end of the video as she remembered her late husband, on his special day.

Priya Sunjay Kapur is in the middle of a legal battle with Karsima Kapoor's kids, Samaira and Kiaan

There has been a lot going on in Sunjay Kapur's family since his demise. First, his mother raised suspicion about his demise, claiming she was not clear about what exactly happened to her son. She also claimed that someone was forcefully trying to get their hands on the family property and that she was forced to sign some documents, without knowing what was inside the pages. Following this, legal battles began as Sunjay and Karisma's kids, Kiaan and Samaira, filed a suit against Priya, accusing her of forgery. Till now, the battle is on between two parties, where Priya claimed that his kids with Karsima were already provided with a Rs. 1,900 crore asset, the other party continued with their claims, thereby asking for their fair share in their father's property.
