Be it Bollywood, Hollywood, or any other film industry, we have often seen leading actresses bidding adieu to their film careers for the sake of their families. While some actresses like Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and others were seen taking an extended sabbatical from their film careers after giving birth and returned onscreen after a few years, some actresses left the film line forever. One such actress was Priya Gill, who rose to fame with her stint in the 1999 film, Sirf Tum, left the acting field forever after her last movie in 2006.
Priya Gill began her career in the world of entertainment after winning the title of Femina Miss India International in 1995. In the same year, she also represented India at Miss International. Afterwards, she made her acting debut with the 1996 film, Tere Mere Sapne, co-starring Chandrachur Singh and Arshad Warsi in the lead roles. However, Tere Mere Sapne failed to become successful at the box office. Following this, she appeared in several films in different languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil, Bhojpuri and Telugu.

Priya's absence in the films was extremely upsetting for her massive fanbase. However, many reports revealed that the reasons behind her exit from films were mainly due to a news article. If reports are to be believed, then in the news article, it was mentioned that Priya was serving food to the poor children in Gurudwara. However, this was false news as per the actress. So, it caused huge trouble for her, and since then, she started distancing herself from the media and the films. Many media reports also claim that the actress was not okay doing some objectionable scenes in films. Thus, she had to take a break from her professional life.
