Prem Chopra has worked in the Hindi cinema for almost sixty years. He has been part of several hit films as a villain. It won't be wrong to say that Prem Chopra's on-screen presence left many fearing him. In the '90s people didn't understand the difference between real and reel world. There was a huge gap between the audience and the celebrities. Prem Chopra has been tagged as a 'villain' all his life. Once his own daughter had asked him to stop doing 'gande kaam.'
Recently, Prem Chopra appeared on Arbaaz Khan's show, The Invincible, wherein he was questioned about his daughter, Ratika Chopra's reaction to his work in films, and how she asked him to leave acting and drive an auto rickshaw. Prem Chopra laughed while recalling the incident and stated that it happened when she was in school. He was quoted as saying:

"Yeh Ritika Nanda ne, who is a writer also. School mein the woh toh kahte hai papa sab log mujhse kahte hai school mein bolte hai bahut gadbad wale role karte hai. Ganda kaam karte ho aap, yeh chor do."

The veteran actress further stated that he explained to his daughter that the audience had accepted him in the role. Prem Chopra added that he made her understand that because of these roles, he was able to send her to the best school. He told her how it is a profession.

Famous Bollywood actor, Sharman Joshi is married to Prem Chopra's other daughter, Prerana Chopra. However, the actor was always scared about dating Prerana because she was the daughter of veteran actor, Prem Chopra, a famous '90s villain. Once in an interaction, Sharman revealed the veteran actor's reaction to their love. The actor joked he would get nightmares of Prem Chopra. He said:
"I think Prerna was destined to have someone as wonderful as me in her life, she lucked out. She got married to me but mujhe Prem ji ke nightmares aate the."

Sharman revealed that he realised he was a chilled-out gentleman when he met Prem Chopra. His then-girlfriend and now wife's mother was more fierce. Sharman also revealed that when Prem Chopra asked about his acting plans, he said he would be a 'failed actor.' He was quoted as saying:
"Phir he asked ki agar nahi ban paaye, to maine bol diya ki ‘failed actor banunga’."
