Preity Zinta is busy managing her IPL team, Punjab Kings. And just like many other women, who face gender bias in business, which is often considered a men's world, Preity too faced it. Sometimes within the system and other times by careless netizens. Not everything is a joke, and Preity Zinta proved it by slamming a netizen's careless remark towards her and her team members.
Preity Zinta recently slammed a social media user who asked her a mean question during her 'Ask Me Anything' session on X. The troller said that Glenn Maxwell wasn't playing well as he hadn't married her. Preity found it extremely offensive. Instead of letting it go as another trolling remark, Preity decided to call it out. She stated that it was sexist and extremely disrespectful. Preity replied and asked whether the person would ask the same question to a male team owner. The actress stated that she realised the difficulties of being a woman after entering cricket. She wrote:
"Would you ask this question to a male team owner? I never realised how tough it is for women in the corporate world until I entered cricket. Please think about what you’re implying—it’s not funny."
Preity further added that she has worked super hard for 18 years and she deserves respect and not jokes based on her gender. She concluded her post by writing:
"I’m sure you asked this question out of humour, but I hope you can actually look at your question and understand what you are trying to say because if you really understand what you’re trying to say, it’s not pretty ! I think I have earned my stripes by working very hard for the past 18 years so please give me the respect I deserve & stop with the gender bias. Thank you."
For those who don't know, Glenn Maxwell's performance wasn't up to the mark this IPL season as he scored only 48 runs in seven matches. His performance was highly criticised, and the comment was linked to his form. However, the user took the trolling game far by dragging Preity's name in a crass manner.
As soon as Preity shared the post, netizens expressed their opinion. One user wrote, "Cheapsters. You rock, Preity!! We truly admire you. You are a very brave woman." Another one commented, "More power to you mam !! Don't take this under 18 fc seriously." A third user wrote, "Mam there is no need to reply to these Clowns." A fourth one penned, "Absolutely right. Respect is earned, regardless of gender. Your hard work and dedication speak for themselves."

Apart from her phenomenal work in Bollywood, Preity Zinta focused on honing her business skills. A big breakthrough in her career was when she took on the role of being a co-owner of the IPL team, Punjab Kings. Talking about her personal life, Preity Zinta is married to Gene Goodenough. She is a mommy of twins, Jai and Gia.
During the same 'Ask Me Anything' session, Preity revealed that she is a happy-go-lucky person, but her Kali avatar comes out whenever someone tries to click her children's picture. She said:
"I hate taking pictures in temples, early in the morning after a flight, in bathrooms and during security checks! Asking me for a photo is the best way to get a photo unless you are asking for pictures in the above situations. Taking my kid's pictures will bring out my Kali avatar; otherwise, I’m a happy person. Don’t start making videos without my permission - it’s actually very irritating - Just ask me politely, and please leave my kids alone."
