Prateik Babbar Gets Married At His Late Mother, Smita Patil's Home, Bride Wore Ivory-Gold Lehenga

Prateik Babbar finally gave love another chance, by getting married to his ladylove, Priya Banerjee in an intimate wedding ceremony. Sticking by his heart's desire of a close-knit wedding, Prateik chose his late mother, Smita Patil's first home she brought in Mumbai. While he didn't invite his father, Raj Babbar, his wedding pictures radiate his infinite happiness and love.

Prateik Babbar on February 14, 2025, got married to his lady love, Priya Bannerjee. The actor seems to be genuinely happy as photos of his wedding surface on the internet. As quoted by Vogue, Prateik decided to get married at his late mother, Smita Patil's first home in Mumbai to make his day super special.

For the wedding, Prateik chose a clean-shaven look, and he wore an ivory gold-toned open sherwani. He looked no less than royalty with Maharaja pagdi and a dhoti. Talking about the bride, Priya looked whimsical in an ivory gold-hued lehenga. She ditched the usual choli and opted for a corset, which added a touch of uniqueness to her look.

Bride's look was accentuated with a polki and emerald choker, a maang teeka and matching earrings. Hair tied in a bun, subtle makeup with soft eyes and pink-toned cheeks completed her bridal look. In the first photo, the couple was seen sharing lip lock, while in another photo, Prateik kissed his lady love's hand. Sharing the photos, he wrote:

"I’ll marry you in every lifetime."

Everyone was left shocked when the news broke down that Prateik Babbar chose not to invite his father, Raj Babbar, to his second wedding. In fact, he didn't even call his step-siblings, Juhi and Aarya, to the wedding. In an interview with ETimes, Aarya revealed that someone has brainwashed him, as he doesn't want to connect with anyone from the family. He was quoted as saying:

"I presume someone has overpowered his brain too much. He is not wanting to connect with anyone from this side of the family. He has decided not to call anyone." 

Who is Prateik Babbar?

For the unversed, Prateikh Babbar is the son of the late actress, Smita Patil and Raj Babbar. It was Raj Babbar's second wedding with Bheegi Palkein actress. He had left his first wife, Nadira Babbar to marry Smita. However, after Smita delivered her first child, life took a shocking turn as she passed away within few days due to childbirth complications. Raj Babbar, later went back to his first wife, Nadira.

Talking about Prateik's life, this is his second marriage, as he was earlier married to Sanya Sagar. The couple parted ways after a year of marriage and officially got divorced in January 2023. While Prateikh re-started a new chapter in his life, it is the start of a new tension in his family drama.
