Prajakta Koli's bridal lehenga featured parijat flowers, an ode to her name

Prajakta Koli tied the knot with her fiancé, Vrishank Khanal, on February 25, 2025, at Oleander Farms in Karjat. The duo wore custom outfits by popular designer, Anita Dongre for their big day. Prajakta Koli wore a cream-coloured lehenga set, while Vrishank wore an ivory sherwani. However, the highlight of the bridal lehenga was its hand-painted parijat flowers (night-flowering jasmine). For those unaware, the Prajakta name is also derived from the fragrant parijat flowers.

We agree there couldn't have been a better way for Prajakta to express self-love on the big day. Prajakta Koli and Vrishank's pheras took place during the day's golden hour. At the same time, the venue was decorated with several floral strings, chandeliers, ferns, and foliage, similar to the motifs on the bridal lehenga. In an interview with Vogue India, Prajakta Koli revealed that she had decided she wouldn't wear a traditional red lehenga for her wedding. In her words:

"When it came to my look, the only thing I told Anita is that I don't want to wear red. The first lehenga that I tried on became my wedding lehenga. What stood out the most for me was that the sample piece showcased Parijat patterns, and my name, Prajakta, is another word for Parijat flowers. It also features Pichwai paintings and pockets. It was rounded off with two dupattas and Anita Dongre jewellery."
