The Ambani children, Akash, Isha and Anant's role in the Reliance industry

Before we dive into the salaries of the trio —Akash, Isha, and Anant —it's essential to understand what the trio does as part of the Reliance industry. Akash Ambani was the first of the Ambani children to join the workforce in 2014. He has been working as the chairman of Reliance's telecom unit, Jio Infocomm, since June 2022 and has cracked a series of billion-dollar deals over the course of three years. According to a report, his latest deal with Disney Star was part of a merger between Jio Cinema and Disney Hotstar. 

This deal between Jio and Disney has involved a massive investment of 1.5 billion US Dollars from both parties, with Jio holding 51 per cent of the shares in the venture. Apart from that, under Akash Ambani's leadership, Jio has become one of the leading telecommerce companies in the country. Akash attended Brown University and graduated with a degree in economics. His academic qualifications have made him a crucial part of the Jio business, and his learning has enabled Akash to play a major role in global deals with significant investors, including KKR and TPG. 

Mukesh and Nita Ambani's only daughter, Isha Ambani, assumed the role of director of Reliance Retail Ventures in August of 2023. She leads the company's retail, e-commerce and luxury businesses and has been at the heels of her global competitors by providing quality products in the country at a price tailored to the citizens and economy of the nation. According to reports, Reliance Retail stands at a jaw-dropping Rs. 8,361 lakh crore. 

Isha has now decided to take Reliance Retail in a new direction and enter the premium grocery market. This has followed the Retail department's record-breaking gains in both revenue and profit under the leadership of Isha. She is currently leading the top brands like Ajio and Tira and has rolled out same-day and next-day deliveries across all major metro cities in India. Isha Ambani went to Stanford University and Yale University for her studies.

Anant Ambani is the youngest child of Mukesh and Nita Ambani. He has served as the director of the Jio Platforms board since March 2020. He took over the role of director of Reliance Retail in May 2022 and its New Energy business in June 2021. However, as of April 25, 2025, the company's quarterly reports were announced, along with the decision to appoint Anant as a 'whole-time director' for a five-year term, which will begin on May 1, 2025. However, the appointment is subject to approval by the shareholders. The new change in Anant's position as an executive at India's largest company by market value is a significant development for Reliance, solidifying its next-generation leadership.

Akash, Isha and Anant Ambani's salaries

Coming to the topic of the day, how much do Ambani kids take home every month? According to the reports, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's three children, Akash, Isha, and Anant, don't receive fixed salaries. However, they earn a sitting fee and a commission on the profits that are earned by the Reliance industry. However, their Reliance board package replicates the same as their mother, Nita.

Nonetheless, a report by the Times of India in 2024 reported that Anant was receiving a package of approximately Rs. 4.2 crores per annum, setting his monthly pay at a massive Rs. 35 lakh. On the other hand, Mukesh Ambani's nephews, Hital and Nikhil Meswali, also play a crucial role as part of the Reliance group. According to reports from 2021, Hital was said to have received a massive paycheck of Rs. 24 crores. His brother, Nikhil, on the other hand, receives the same package as Hital.

Nita Ambani is married to one of the richest men in the world, Mukesh Ambani. While the business tycoon has a massive net worth, Nita has ensured her contribution to the Reliance industry. While she has now retired from her role, she was previously earning a sitting fee and commission of Rs. 2 crore. She was a non-executive director on the RIL board until August 2023, for which she received approximately Rs. 6 lakhs.
