Payal Rohatgi is an actress who predominantly appears in Hindi films and television shows. She has also participated in beauty pageants, including Demina Miss India and later Miss India Tourism 2001, where she won the title of Supermodel Miss Tourism World. Payal has also appeared in reality TV shows like Bigg Boss and Lock Upp.
Payal Rohatgi, who is known for her unfiltered personality, recently got candid about a personal and emotional struggle as his family is going through a lot of hiccups. The actress took to her social media and shared a heartfelt post, revealing the heartbreaking news of her father's battle with cancer. Payal shared that her father is battling prostate cancer and appealed to her fans for financial help.
Payal got candid about the pain of watching her father fighting the awful disease. She shared how his diagnosis has shaken her family and urged her fans and followers to support her by donating generously to her father’s treatment. The actress took to Instagram and shared a video that featured bills, reports, and a cheque with the actress' bank details. She shared the video and wrote:
"I have decided to post this on my social media after much internal alignment of my thoughts. In our country, medical treatments are expensive. Post-COVID, there is a lot of information that is very helpful for analysing life better. I understand that every middle-class family has limited funds."

Payal Rohatgi revealed that her family has not been reimbursed for the medical expenses despite the large insurance payments they have made over the years. She added that this delay from the insurance has made it extremely difficult for her family to continue her father's treatment. She further shared that her father had asked her to share about their situation, and she is doing so to address the gaps in the medical insurance industry in the country. She shared:
"My father, who is a senior citizen, thought he would get reimbursement from the medical insurance company whose premium he had paid, but he hasn’t due to their internal rules. The medical insurance PREMIUM every year is so much for senior citizens, but when genuine medical expenses don’t get reimbursed, it’s sad. He requested that I put it on my social media, and I am doing it as I want to address the criteria on the basis of which medical insurance as an industry works in our country."
Payal Rohatgi further explained crowdfunding in her post. She shared that although the donation concept needed more clarity at present, everyone still used it. She added that her father has a right to get his reimbursement. She shared the details of her father's condition and requested her fans to fund her father's treatment. Payal penned:

"He has a right to get his reimbursement from medical insurance companies. But as the rules are not clear so, here we talk. He is a senior citizen and is suffering from Prostate Cancer (since 2018), COPD, i.e., shrinking lungs (since 2006) and Very Severe Osteoporosis (since 2008). I request that my fans and followers donate generously and deposit money in the following account: The entire Medical file can be sent by email."
