Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa were in a relationship for several years before they tied the knot in 2021. The duo always gives us major goals, and they often express their love for each other on social media. In a recent interview with Human of Bombay, Patralekhaa spoke about the first time she met Rajkummar and revealed that she found him ‘creepy.’
Recently, Patralekhaa spoke about meeting Rajkummar Rao and how they fell in love. She remembered having watched his first film, Love Sex Aur Dhoka, after which she got a call from one of her friends, who was studying at FTII. According to the actress, the friend wanted her to do a music video with Rajkummar. She said:

“I had just seen LSD. His first film. About three days later, one of my school friends called me, she said, ‘Could you do this video for me, it’s a music video, and I am calling this other actor called Rajkummar. He was just in LSD.’ I said, ‘Ruksana, no, I am not coming because I think he is very creepy and I was scared.’ She was like, ‘Nothing will happen, we will send you a car, and why don’t you get your sister along with you?’ I was like, ‘Okay, let’s see.' ”
Patralekhaa added that she made her sister sit between her and Rajkummar, leading to them starting to chat. She felt uncomfortable because he was the 'creepy guy' from that movie, so she kept pinching her sister, urging her not to talk to him. In her words:
“I made my sister sit between me and Raj, and they started chit-chatting. I was feeling weird because he was that creepy guy from that movie. So, I was pinching her, and said do not talk to him. And eventually, it was bit awkward, because the ride was also long from Mumbai to Pune…”
On her meeting with Raj for the first day, Patralekha took her sister with her. She said that the journey from Mumbai to Pune was quite long and a bit awkward. Raj asked her what she did, to which she replied that she had done a couple of ads. At that moment, she noticed a shift in his demeanor, and as the story goes, he had seen that ad and expressed that he wants to marry Patralekhaa. She continued:
'I have done these couple of ads'. And the moment I said that, I saw there was some shift. And as the story goes, he had seen that particular ad and he was like, 'I wanna marry this girl'. "
Patralekha said that while working with Raj for the music video, she observed how passionate he is about his work. She added that he is one of the few men she has met who has brought out the best in her, and she couldn't help but fall in love with him. She said:

"When we reach FTTI and started shooting for the video. We were there for three days. He was just a different human being. Someone who loved his art so much, and was so passionate about his work. It was a rarity, and I just couldn't stop falling in love with him. I was like, 'Oh my god, this man is all about his work and passion and there is so much integrity and depth to him'. Most of us, back then, when we were doing audition rounds, everybody was doing this either to become richer or to become famous... But he was this guy who was just doing this for the love of his art."
On the work front, Patralekhaa was recently seen playing an air hostess in the Netflix series, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. Meanwhile, Rajkummar Rao is fresh from the success of Stree 2. He is currently preparing for the release of his comic entertainer, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, along with Triptii Dimri. The film is expected to hit the screens on October 11, 2024.
