The 2024 Paris Olympics has been a hot topic for a while, and people were specifically excited about the javelin category, as Neeraj Chopra yet again qualified for the finals. While Neeraj performed extremely well, he missed the gold by a few meters and won silver. On the other hand, Pakistani athlete, Arshad Nadeem won the gold medal with his impressive performance. While people expect animosity and competition among athletes, it was Arshad and Neeraj's camaraderie that won everyone's hearts.
After his glorious win at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Arshad Nadeem sat for an interview with Brut. Therein, he was asked about his friendship with Neeraj Chopra. To this, Arshad revealed that he and Neeraj have been playing together since 2016. He shared that in the South Asian games, Neeraj bagged a gold medal while he won bronze, and since then, they started talking.

Afterwards, the duo started meeting at different competitions and talking, which gradually turned into friendship. Arshad then added that he was the only Pakistani in the games, and Neeraj was along with him at every series, which further strengthened their friendship, and the duo is still tight together.
After Nadeem won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics, Pakistani media asked his mom to share her two cents about Neeraj Chopra. To this, Nadeem's mother won everyone's hearts as she not only praised Neeraj for his wonderful performance but also labelled him as his son's brother. She added that winning or losing is a part of the spirit, but the way the duo fought is praiseworthy. In her words:
"He (Neeraj) is also like my son. He is Nadeem's friend and also his brother. Wins and losses are part of the sport. May god bless him, may he win medals. They are like brothers, I've prayed for Neeraj too."
