Paris Jackson Confirms Split From Fiance, Justin Long, A Week After She Was Spotted Crying In Public

Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson is a model, actress and singer. She is the second child of the legendary 'King of Pop', Michael Jackson and his only daughter. Paris recently marked her father's 16th death anniversary, and now another heartbreak has come her way. The actor-singer has called it quits with her fiance, Justin Long.

Paris Jackson and Justin Long have broken up after eight months of being engaged. The news came as a shock to their fans, as it was only a few days ago, on July 29, 2025, when the bride-to-be's friends had shared that the actress had been extremely busy with the wedding preparations in a conversation with National Enquirer. Paris confirmed the news of her split on the social media platform X in the early hours of August 1, 2025 (IST).

It was only a few days ago when Paris Jackson was photographed shedding tears. The pictures came weeks after Michael Jackson's 16th death anniversary, and fans believed that she was still grieving the loss of her father. However, Paris reacted to a post shared by the Daily Mail Celebrity and confirmed that they were 'breakup tears'. She was quoted as saying:

"Those are breakup tears. Y'all are fkn reaching again."

Paris Jackson and Justin Long's relationship

While Paris Jackson has not shared any further statements, the actress' tweet on X has been enough of a confirmation for her fans. Paris and Justin's relationship seemed to be going strong earlier this month, as the 27-year-old model shared cosy pictures with him on her Instagram handle from her tour with Incubus and Manchester Orchestra. Paris and Justin were first linked in 2022, and she confirmed their engagement in December 2024. She captioned the post:

"Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind, and I couldn't dream of anyone more perfect for me to do it all with. Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you."

Paris Jackson celebrated five years of sobriety earlier in January 2025

It was in January 2025 when Paris Jackson shared that she had been sober from alcohol and heroin for 5 years. In a social media post, Paris revealed that she is thankful would be a poor euphemism, as it is because she is sober that she gets to smile. She credited her sobriety for being able to create music, enjoy loving her fur babies and feel the pain of heartbreak in all its glory. She was quoted as saying:

"It's because I’m sober that I get to smile today. I get to make music. I get to experience the joy of loving my dogs and cat. I get to feel heartbreak in all its glory. I get to grieve. I get to laugh. I get to dance. I get to trust. I feel the sun on my skin, and it’s warm. I've found that life keeps happening regardless of whether I'm sober or not, but today I get to show up for it."
