Pankaj Dheer's Last Post Before Death For Wife, Anita Dheer, Features Their Cosy Date Night Setup

Veteran actor, Pankaj Dheer was best known for playing the role of 'Karan' in BR Chopra's Mahabharat. Then, he went on to show his acting prowess in Chadrakanta, after which there was no looking back as he made a strong footing in the Hindi cinema and television with his roles. However, during his last days, he had battled with cancer and passed away on October 15, 2025. Now, his last post before death has been going viral.

Pankaj Dheer got married to Anita Dheer in 1979 and was blessed with a son, Nikitin Dheer. Talking about Pankaj's last post, he rarely shared his life on social media. However, his last post featured a special evening with his wife, Anita. Now, it holds a deeper meaning as Pankaj will never post anything on it.

In the photo, the couple was enjoying the scenic view of a heritage place with a candlelight dinner in the open space. Pankaj was dressed up in a soft pink-toned shirt, while his wife wore a purple, floral-hued kurta with subtle makeup and hair left open.

Anita Dheer is a famous Bollywood costume designer. She has designed outfits for films such as Boxer, Ikke pe Ikka and Victoria No. 203. Talking about his son, Nikitin Dheer is a well-known actor. He is also married. Pankaj Dheer's daughter-in-law, Kratika Sengar Dheer, is also a renowned television actress. Kratika and Nikitin are blessed with a daughter. And the Dheer family has been one of the crucial parts of the television industry for several years. 

Pankaj Dheer's death

Pankaj Dheer's death news left the entire nation in deep sorrow. The news claimed that Pankaj Dheer was suffering from cancer and he died due to it. An official statement was released by CINTAA, as they announced Pankaj Dheer's passing, who was the Trust's erstwhile Chairman. The cremation will be held on October 15, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. The statement can be read as:

"With profound grief and deep sorrow, we inform you of the passing of our Trust’s erstwhile Chairman and CINTAA's former Hon. General Secretary, Shri Pankaj Dheer ji, on 15th October 2025. The cremation will be held today at 4:30 pm, next to Pawan Hans, Vile Parle (W), Mumbai."

Pankaj Dheer's career

For the unversed, Pankaj Dheer hailed from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. His father was a famous director in Hindi cinema. And just like his father, Pankaj also wanted to follow in his footsteps, but god had bigger plans for him. In 1983, he got his debut film, Sookha. After which, he got his iconic role of 'Karan' in Mahabharat. By the 1980s and early 1990s, Pankaj Dheer had played many character roles. 

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Pankaj Dheer had recalled working in the superhit show, Mahabharat. He shared that back in those days, there were no vanity vans or makeup rooms, and they would stay in tents. He also revealed that there was one toilet for 40 people, and they would wear heavy metal costumes that heated up in the sun, making them extremely uncomfortable. 

Pankaj is survived by his wife, Anita and his son, Nikitin.
