'Pandya Store' Fame, Pallavi Rao Announces Her Separation After 22 Years Of Marriage, 'We Have...'

TV actress, Pallavi Rao rose to fame with the Hindi serial, Pandya Store. The actress was last seen in the Hindi TV soap opera, Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak. However, the actress has recently announced her separation from her husband and TV director, Surajj Rao, after 22 years of marriage. The duo separated two weeks ago, and have been living in separate houses since then. For the unversed, Pallavi and Surajj tied the knot in 2003. A few days back, TV actress, Lataa Saberwal too announced her separation from her husband, Sanjeev Seth.

Pallavi recently sat for an interview with ETimes TV, and announced her separation from her husband, Surajj Rao. Surajj is a TV director, and the duo first met on the set of a show in Mumbai. Pallavi is a popular actress in the Hindi TV industry, and Surajj is well known for his iconic Hindi serials, including Adaalat, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and more. However, the Pandya Store actress, Pallavi, has announced her separation from Surajj after 22 years of marriage. She clearly stated the reason behind such a decision and called it a tough one, as she and Surajj share two children, a 21-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son. In her words:

"Surajj and I have two children. We had compatibility issues for the past few years and have now finally decided to part ways. It was a tough decision because we have a 21-year-old daughter and an 18-year-old son. But sometimes, it’s better to part ways amicably and choose to live a peaceful life. I respect Surajj and will always wish well for him."

Pallavi  Rao once shared how she liked to play strong character roles

In a past interview with Bombay Times, Pallavi shared how she enjoys playing intense and strong character roles in serials. She also shared that working in the industry for more than two decades has been a great experience. She especially mentioned the serial, Pandya Store, which gave her the most recognition. In her words:

"In Pandya Store, I had a very strong role, and it had a lot of humour too. It was fun working with the entire team. I have always enjoyed playing intense, strong roles. I have been working for the past two decades, and it has been a great experience. Our industry is quite unpredictable so work is like oxygen for me."

Pallavi made her acting debut in 2009 with the Hindi serial, Yahan Mein Ghar Ghar Kheli. She appeared in serials including Punar Vivaah Ek Nayi Umeed, Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki, Bitto, Pandya Store and Kahaani Humaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki. Pallavi also appeared in some episodes of Fear Files and Savdhaan India. Besides being a TV actress, Pallavi also tried her luck in ad commercials. She did a cameo in several TV serials and also did negative roles.
