Pakistani actress, Hania Aamir rose to fame with her serials Mere Humsafar, Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum and many more. However, she not only shares a huge fan following in Pakistan, but Indian fans also love her to the core. When the Indian government Geo-banned Pakistani stars, Hania's fans took a VPN subscription and expressed their love for her. Now, it seems like Hania made a new account for her Indian audience, but after getting slammed by people from her country, the team shared a clarification note.
For the unversed, the Indian government banned the interaction of Pakistani stars with Indian citizens as a severe measure post-Pahalagam terror attack. Recently, Hania Aamir's fans noticed that she had created a new Instagram account with the username 'Naamtousunahogaa', and it was also available to the Indian audience. As per a Reddit, a post on her account reads:
"Ye mere andar downfall me bhi mauj masti karne ki himmat aa kaha se rahi hai (sic)."
While Indian fans loved Hania's move, Pakistani netizens slammed Hania Aamir. They accused her of trying to please Indians and lashed out at her for not standing by her nation. Poking fun at Hania, one user wrote, "Someone please tell her that she's not getting into Bollywood as long as the current government is in power in India. India banned TikTok in 2019, and it's 2025. And it's still banned, and so will her."
Another one commented, "SO CHEAP on her part.. As an Indian, I must say one should stand for their country as we Indians are doing..so should you all do! She has ZERO respect for herself and her country! Iska downfall pakka hai." A third user penned, " Maybe Pakistan should ban her account now."
Following the backlash, Hania's team quickly clarified the matter. They revealed that she is not trying to impress Indians for the sake of work. They further claimed that Hania's earlier Instagram account was deleted, and so, she created a new one, but it wasn't set on 'private'. The statement can be read as:

"Attention please! There’s a misunderstanding going around about Hania’s new account. Some people think she’s trying to reach out to India for work or securing fans there, but that’s not true. Her old private account with us was deleted by Instagram, and she just made a new one with the same name. Unfortunately, it wasn’t set to private yet, which led to the confusion. Let’s clarify that Hania’s actions have nothing to do with seeking work opportunities or following in India. We know her heart!"
There are people making memes, but this move was taken in the wake of rising tension between the two countries after the horrific Pahalgam attack. 26 people lost their lives; 25 of them were tourists and were visiting the place to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kashmir. The attack was carried out by armed militants, and it is considered one of the most horrific ones since the 2008 Mumbai attacks.
