Pahalgam Terror Attack: Navy Officer Vinay Narwal's Newly-Wedded Wife Breaks Down Next To His Coffin

The Pahalgam terror attack showed another deadly face of terrorists, and it proves that they have no humanity in them. The terror attack resulted in 26 people losing their lives after terrorists opened fired on them, and most of them being tourists. What began as a peaceful visit to the magical valley of Kashmir turned into a ghastly place within few seconds of the attack. Among the 27 people who lost their lives in the attack, one of them was the Naval officer, Vinay Narwal. He was honeymooning with his wife, Himanshi Narwal.

Vinay Narwal's wife, Himanshi Narwal breaks down talking about her husband's bravery

For those who don't know, Vinay Narwal tied the knot with Himanshi Narwal just a week ago, and arrived in Jammu and Kashmir on April 21, 2025. The newly-married couple had no idea that their dream of a happily ever after be ruined by a group of terrorists, whose only motive is to spread terror and hate. On Aril 23, 2025, the family arrived for the last rites of Vinay Narwal, and heart-wrenching video surfaced as his newly-wedded wife broke down next to his coffin.

Himanshi Narwal, who was dressed up in white suit with a white sweater was seen crying her out while hugging her husband, Vinay Narwal's coffin. Hugging the coffin, she prayed for his soul. With tears streaming down her face, Himanshi stated that it is because of her husband that the world is still serving. She said:

"And I pray that his soul rest in peace and he has the best life where ever he is. And we will make him proud in every way. It is because of him that the world is still surviving."

After this, Himanshi kept hugging the coffin and it was her father, who held her hand and took her away. While standing next to her mother and father, Himanshi said, "Jai Hind" in the end, and everyone present their joined her in hailing the mother nation.

In a video that has surfaced on the internet, right after the gruesome incident, Himanshi was seen narrating the never-chilling moments of her husband being gunned down by terrorists. Himanshi stated that they were having bhelpuri when a man come to them and asked about their religion. When they denied the same, they straight away shot her husband. She said:

"I was eating bhel puri with my husband when a man came and said he's not Muslim, then shot him."

Vinay Narwal's grandfather revealed how he was always fascinated by military from a young age

Vinay is survived by his parents , Rajesh Narwal, who works in the Excise Department, and Asha Narwal, his sister, Srishti, and his grandfather, Hawa Singh, who is a retired police officer. Vinay's grandfather, Hawa Singh, in an interview with NDTV, revealed that his grandson always wanted to pursue a career in military. He said:

"We came to Karnal from our village... he used to live in Sector 7, there was a small school. He studied there and did his matriculation from there, and then did his higher schooling in Delhi. When he used to see military vehicles in his childhood, he used to ask me a lot of questions. 'How is this', 'what is this'..."
