Following the same, he passed away at the age of 76. While the actual reason for his demise wasn't known, it was speculated to be an influence of his long-term Parkinson's disease. Google recently paid tribute to Ozzy with a special banner, which reads, 'Thanks for the mayhem, Prince of Darkness.' Amid this, reports about his memorial service and funeral surfaced.

Ozzy Osbourne's family has not yet revealed any official information about his funeral or memorial service. However, sources claimed that the plans for a major 'celebration of life' are currently underway. According to a report by The Sun, Ozzy Osbourne's memorial service will take place in Birmingham, the city which meant a lot to him. Sources revealed that several big names from the industry might come to pay their last respects to the legendary singer, who was one of the godfathers of the heavy metal genre. A source could be quoted as saying:

"Celebration of his life in Birmingham, the city that meant so much to him. There are hundreds of big names who will want to pay their respects and celebrate his life and legacy, as well as thousands of fans who would line the streets to say goodbye."

Ozzy Osbourne once talked about his plans for his funeral

It was years ago when, in an interview with The Times, Ozzy Osbourne talked about his funeral. Yes! According to Ozzy, a little planning on the right side was needed for the family he would leave behind. He stated that there would be no harping on the bad times. He further stated that people often associate misery with their lives, so people in his country, mainly rock stars like him, were very happy.

In the same interview, Ozzy said that he would want anyone to play anything at his funeral if it would make the guests happy. He mentioned that he wanted his funeral to be a 'celebration', not a mope fest. Ozzy was quoted as saying:

"But I do want to make sure it's a celebration, not a mope-fest. I'd also like some pranks: maybe the sound of knocking inside the coffin; or a video of me asking my doctor for a second opinion on his diagnosis of 'death.' There'll be no harping on the bad times."

Going forward in the interview, Ozzy Osbourne revealed that he would also like people to do pranks, like knocking on the inside of the coffin, or a video of him asking doctors for their second opinions on their diagnosis of his 'death'. He said that he wanted his funeral to be a 'thank you', not a somewhat sad ceremony.

The reason for Ozzy Osbourne's demise

As per a report by Page Six, Ozzy Osbourne, who wasn't keeping it well with his health, felt re-energised with his final show with Black Sabbath. While Ozzy's family hasn't disclosed the reason for his demise, he had been suffering from Parkinson's disease for several years. It was during an interview on Good Morning America, when Ozzy talked about the same.

Ozzy shared how back in 2019, he had a terrible fall, which led him to undergo surgery on the neck, which wrecked his nerves. He was dealing with Stage 2 of Parkinson's disease, which is a neurodegenerative condition. Ozzy talked about dealing with nerve pain, which was caused due to the surgery he had to undergo, since nerves were cut during the operation.
