'Our Universe' K-Drama Episode 7 Recap And Review, THIS New Character Adds Mystery To The Rom-Com

Our Universe has become one of the most talked-about K-dramas since its release. For the unversed, the coming-of-age romance series starring Bae In-hyuk, Roh Jeong-eui, and Park Seo-ham premiered on tvN on February 4, 2026. Episodes of Our Universe normally air on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 22:40 KST. Well, for international viewers, the show is available for streaming on Viki and HBO Max. To date, 7 episodes of the 12-part series have been released. So, without further ado, let's take a look back at what happened in Episode 7 of Our Universe, which dropped on February 25, 2026. (Spoilers ahead). 

Our Universe Episode 7 recap 

In the very beginning of episode 7 of Our Universe, we find that ‘Hyun-Jin’ is going home, and upon her arrival, she sees an intruder inside, prompting her to scream. Soon, ‘Yoon-seong’ arrives to help her out, and both of them realise that the intruder inside the house was an older man. Claiming that the door was open when he arrived, he apologises and introduces himself as ‘Woojin's’ father.

In the meantime, ‘Tae-hyung,’ after hearing ‘Hyun-jin's’ scream on the phone, quickly runs to her house to see what is up. After he arrives, he is busy fussing with ‘Hyun-jin’ and does not recognise his father since they hadn't seen each other in over 20 years. This leaves the old man in tears, and he apologises for being too late. His tears, however, have no effect on ‘Tae-hyung’ as he is soon asked to leave.

At this point, 'Yoon-seong' is extremely concerned about the break-in which happened at 'Hyun-jin's' house because he thinks that the thief had already been to the house before 'Tae-hung's' father arrived. Dismissing his concerns, ‘Hyun-jin’ sends him away and goes to pick ‘Woo-joo’ up from their neighbour’s house. When she gets back, ‘Tae-hung’, upon seeing a scrape on her hand, wraps it up for her.  

Well, to give more insight into ‘Tae-hyung's’ father's past, the show delves into a flashback showing him running away because he owed many people money. At the time, he chose to leave his kids behind. Now that he wants to come back to his son's life, ‘Tae-hyung’ suggests that it would be better for them to live separate lives.

In Our Universe Episode 7, we also get a glimpse of ‘Hyun-jin’s’ life at work. After she comes home from work, she shares a moment with ‘Yoon-seong’ when the latter comes upstairs to change the front door locks. However, they are soon interrupted when ‘Tae-hyung’ gets back from work. Although this leads ‘Yoon-seing’ to leave, he would not do it before warning ‘Tae-hyung’ not to hurt ‘Hyun-jin’, as he suspects his father.  

In the next few days, after he manages to earn a good reputation among the apartment complex residents where ‘Tae-hyung’ lives, his father goes and tells ‘Hyun-jin’ how his son no longer wants to see him. When she tries to help him out by talking to ‘Tae-hyung’, he gets upset and accuses her of not being on his side. In the next few days, we dive back into how ‘Hyun-jin’ deals with the GloMarket project.

'Yoon-seong' tells her that maybe they should go out on a date once the project is over. After overhearing the same, ‘Tae-hyung’ also reminds ‘Hyun-jin’ about his feelings. Later, after the photoshoot, the duo shared a sweet moment in the rain. The episode ends with ‘Hyun-jin’ winning her pitch competition and ‘Yoon-seong’ confessing his feelings to her.  

Our Universe Episode 7 review 

In Episode 7 of Our Universe, the love triangle situation involving the trio intensifies. ‘Tae-hyung’ and ‘Yeon-seong’ constantly lock horns as they try to one-up each other. And, with Our Universe being a romantic drama, Episode 7 does not disappoint as we get plenty of romantic scenes with ‘Hyun-jin’ with both the leading men.

What makes this episode more interesting for viewers is the introduction of ‘Tae-hyung’s’ father. There seems to be a certain mystery surrounding him, which viewers will likely learn more about in later episodes of Our Universe. All in all, viewers will definitely find Episode 7 truly enjoyable as they wait for Episode 8 to release.
