Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, has become one of social media's most commonly recognised faces. He came into the spotlight after netizens spotted him partying and vacationing with the top star kids in the country. His branded wardrobe, extravagant lifestyle, quirky personality and popular connections in showbiz created a mysterious aura around him. Since people have been curious about him, Orry has come to the forefront and often makes interesting statements in the media that continue to keep him in the headlines. In a recent interview, the influencer left everyone stunned after sharing sensational claims about his weight loss journey.
Drastic weight loss of film personalities like Ram Kapoor, Sajid Nadiadwala, Karan Johar, Kapil Sharma and more have made headlines in the last couple of months. It stunned some netizens, and the other half doubted they used ozempic or unhealthy means. Amid this, Orhan Awatramani recently sat down with Screen's The Suvir Saran Show and opened up about his weight loss journey in 2023. The influencer surprised everyone by sharing that he weighed 70 kg in 2023. But, after deciding to get famous, he starved himself. Sharing his experience, Orry said:
"In the beginning of 2023, I was really fat. I was really large. I was 70-something kilos. And this is pre-Ozempic. And it's the year I decided to get famous."
Further, Orry shared the reason behind his decision and mentioned that a person can't be fat and famous simultaneously. He believes the audience doesn't want to see a boy of his weight walk around on TV. Consequently, he bore a lot of pain and made significant sacrifices. However, he did achieve his goals. In his words:
"You can't be fat and famous. That's not how it works. No one wants to see a fat, 5-foot boy walk around on TV. So I really starved myself. Some days, I'd wake up with neck pain because I'd fall asleep on my toilet after throwing up my dinner. But it worked, and I lost weight! That's cheating technically, but I did what I had to to get where I wanted to get."
In the same conversation, Orry left everyone stunned when he shared that he supports using ozempic to lose weight. For those unaware, ozempic is a method where a weekly injection is administered to decrease blood sugar levels by making the pancreas produce more insulin. However, the method is not advised for weight loss. At the same time, the influencer mentioned that he supports cheating in relationships and explained:
"I do support cheating. Not in a game, perhaps because if you win, the satisfaction isn't there, but in life. If you use Ozempic, that's cheating, but I'd support that. If you were in love with one man or woman and another man or woman at the same time, I'd support you. If you're a bodybuilder and you take steroids, I'd support that. Do what you have to do to get where you want to get."
Orhan, born in Malabar Hill, South Mumbai, hails from a wealthy family. He studied at a boarding school in Mumbai and Parsons School of Design in New York City. The influencer worked with Reliance and has been a close aide of the Ambani family. At the same time, he is a socialite and often gives fans glimpses from inside Bollywood parties on his social media platforms. Some of his friends include star kids like Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday, among others. He's also appeared in cameos, such as himself in Dharma Production's Call Me Bae and Nadaaniyan.
