The Pahalgam terror attack has left the entire nation bursting with anger and tears. It was on April 22, 2025, when a group of Pakistani terrorists singeled out 26 Hindu men and shot them dead as the innocent individuals were vacationing with their family members. On May 7, 2025, India gave a befitting response to this inhuman act through 'Operation Sindoor'. As strong and meaningful as the choice of the operation's name was, so was the reply. Now, the Pahalgam victims' family members have been reacting to this. Navy officer, Vinay Narwal's family also spoke about this.

Late Navy officer, Vinay Narwal's family reacts to 'Operation Sindoor'

For the unversed, it was on April 22, 2025, when Navy officer, Vinay Narwal was brutally assassinated while he was honeymooning with his newlywed wife, Himanshi Narwal. They got married only 7 days ago, and were on a trip before hopping onto the new phase of their lives. Well, the inhuman act of Pahalgam didn't let the couple's dream be fulfilled and instead left Himanshi in utter pain, as they killed Vinay, in front of her eyes, only because he was a Hindu.

Now, as 'Operation Sindoor' has taken place, Vinay's family reacted to the same. Talking to ANI, Vinay's mom stated that it's a tribute to those innocents, who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack. She further praised Indian soldiers and mentioned that such strikes should take place so much so that no such inhuman attack takes place ever again. In Vinay's mom's words:

"This is a tribute and justice to all those who lost their lives. I hope the soldiers keep going and give them such an answer that similar attacks are never repeated."

In a video of the Pahalgam attack, Vinay Narwal was seen lying down lifeless as Himanshi sat with a broken heart beside him. The couple, who got married only 7 days before, was on a honeymoon, but little did they know that such an incident would end their dream altogether. However, as India has responded through 'Operation Sindoor', Himanshi's father, Sunil Swami told PTI that his widowed daughter has been asking when the revenge will take place for a long time now. Stating that the innocent lives have been avenged, Himanshi's father said:

"Himanshi had been asking since many days when revenge for the deaths will be taken. And now the innocent have been avenged."

Vinay Narwal's father and aunt talk about 'Operation Sindoor'

Vinay Narwal's father paid his respects to the braveheart Indian soldiers and mentioned that his child and the others who lost their lives won't come back, but such strikes would make the terrorists think 100 times before taking out such an inhuman act. Vinay's aunt stated that the name of the operation fitted well, as so many women were widowed at the Pahalgam attack, as only the men were targeted.

What happened in 'Operation Sindoor'?

'Operation Sindoor' was launched in Pakistan by the Indian Armed Forces past midnight on May 7, 2025. This strike took place after the Pahalgam attack, hitting the terrorist infrastructure of Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, where the planning of the terrorist attacks has been taking place over the years. During the operation, nine Pakistani terror sites were targeted and destroyed. The news was confirmed by Wing Commander Vyomika Sing, who said that the terror sites were selected beforehand so that no harm would happen to civilians and civilian infrastructure.
