One Piece Season 2 Ending Explained, Is The Straw Hat Pirates Able To Defeat The Cruel 'King Wapol'?

The much loved show, One Piece has finally returned with a new season on the OTT giant, Netflix. For those who missed it out, the live-action adaptation of One Piece Season 2 is streaming now and it is filled with darker battles, new allies and a gripping conspiracy. It is worth mentioning that One Piece is created by Matt Owens and it stars Inaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd and more. Amid the buzz around the show, read on to know how One Piece Season 2 ends!

The plotline of One Piece Season 2

One Piece Season 2 continues the thrilling journey of 'Monkey D. Luffy' (played by Inaki Godoy) and his entire group. For those who still haven't watched it, the show begins soon after Straw Hat Pirates leave the East Blue. 'Luffy' and his crew, 'Roronoa Zoro', 'Nami', 'Usopp' and 'Sanji' travel to the Grand Line. It is a sea known for unpredictable weather and deadly pirates.

Moments after they reach the dangerous sea, they clash with 'Baroque Works', a group of mysterious agents to work under a leader, 'Mr.0.' While the Straw Hat Pirates struggle with the deadly group, a Marine officer, 'Captain Smoker' starts chasing 'Luffy' as he believes that 'Luffy' is a dangerous pirate. As the show moves forwards, 'Luffy' and his group reach a town, Whiskey Peak. 

Initially, everyone celebrates their welcome; however, soon the group realises that the town is full of agents from Baroque Works. Eventually, the battle begins between the two. During the same, they meet one of the agents, 'Nefartari', who reveals that Baroque Works are planning to destroy her homeland. She seeks help from 'Monkey Luffy' and the group.

Eventually, Straw Hats agree to help 'Nefartari' and leave for an island, Little Garden. When they reach, they encounter a few more agents and fight with them. During this, they realise the power of Baroque Works. Further, in the season, the Straw Hats find a doctor, when 'Nami' becomes sick. However, the island has very few doctors left. Eventually, they meet 'Tony Tony Chopper', who is a reindeer but dreams of being a doctor. He was trained by 'Dr. Kureha'.

One Piece Season 2 ending explained

Towards the end of the show, 'King Wapol', who once ruled the island and left, returns to unleash his cruelty. The 'King' attacks the island with a strange power. He can eat objects and convert them into weapons. 'Luffy' and 'Wapol' have a fierce battle and eventually the former wins and frees the island. Later, the reindeer, 'Tony' joins the Straw Hats. While this may seem like the end of the show, it is not. 

Before the show ends, 'Nefertari' reveals the identity of 'Mr.0', the leader of Baroque Works. It is actually 'Sir Crocodile', a pirate with a secret yet deadly plan to destroy a kingdom, Arabasta. Meanwhile, the Marine officer continues to chase 'Luffy'. Season 2 does not include the fight between 'Sir Crocodile' and the Straw Hats. Viewers will have to wait for the next season to witness the intense battle.
