Nora Fatehi is one of the popular faces in Indian showbiz. Known for her exceptional dancing skills, the 32-year-old received massive backlash when she spoke about feminism on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, The Ranveer Show. She opined that feminism has brainwashed young men and women in society and messed up the traditional and inherent roles of both genders.
Recently, Nora Fatehi appeared on Mashable India's show, The Bombay Journey, where she clarified her stance on feminism once again. When the host said that he did not quite understand her previous statements on the topic, the actress shared that people misunderstood her. Nora mentioned that she was discussing Western society and radical feminism, which has gone to the extent of separating men and women. Talking about the same, she said:

"Bohot sare log unko samajh main nahi aata ki main kya chahti thi. So, we were discussing about Western society and radical feminism, and the fact that it's gone to the extent of almost encouraging the society to separate men and women, and for women to be over independent, not to be with men and create families."

Further, Nora mentioned that she was not discussing first-wave feminism, where people were fighting for basic rights. Instead, she was having a conversation with Ranveer Allahbadia on radical feminism in this generation, which has kind of lost the balance in society and has been affecting the younger generation. The actress also added that she appreciated the fact that a lot of people did not quite agree with her stance. However, she wants people to have healthy conversations on such topics logically without letting emotions intervene in between.
In the same conversation, Nora discussed her family background and revealed that she comes from a divorced family. She mentioned that she knows the negative effects of having a single mother, hence, she advocates for complete families. Sharing that as celebrities they should encourage positive aspects of society, Nora added:
"People need to understand my background. I come from a divorced family, both my parents divorced when I was 10 or 11. I've seen the negative effects of a single mother. So, I advocate for families, I advocate for kids to have their mom and dad together, I am saying it as a generalisation. As a celebrity, we have a responsibility to encourage positive aspects of society."

Nora also emphasised that not having a proper family isn't a problem in Indian or Middle Eastern societies; it's a problem in the West. She said that people in Western countries believe in the ideology that people can just live by themselves and have kids on their own, but that shouldn't be encouraged.
She highlighted that her previous remarks were taken out of context. However, she apologised for making people upset and hurting them. Nora was quoted as saying:
"Right now in the West, we have too many people who encourage the ideology of I can do everything by myself, I can have kids by myself. Yes, you can but why are we encouraging that? Should we not encourage nuclear families? Should we not encourage a household of two people who can help bring up children? This was what we were discussing which was taken out of context, and if people were upset, I definitely apologise for making people upset and hurting them."
