Is Netflix's Nobody Wants This Season 3 in the works?

Both the case and crew have hinted that they are working on something exciting. Kristen Bell, the female lead of the show, recently sat down for an interview with Parade and confirmed that the show's writers are working on something, hinting that the script for Season 3 is already being written. While Kristen pointed out that there is no confirmation about her future on the show. However, the writers are still working on it. In her words:

"You never know if you're gonna be able to shoot because that's way above our pay grade. However, the writer's room is currently writing it. That we know." 

At the same time, The Hollywood Reporter revealed that the creative team is "blue-skying a not-yet-officially-ordered third season." It suggested that the show's creators are confident in its return. Meanwhile, Series creator Erin Foster had long envisioned Nobody Wants This as a multi-season show before the premiere of Season 1. During a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, she admitted that she had always imagined it would have at least three seasons. Sharing her views on the possibility of her appearing on the show, Erin said

"I always thought it'd be fun to do that, but I never created a character that I thought was the perfect character."

What could Nobody Wants This Season 3 be about? 

The first season of Nobody Wants This introduced fans to 'Joanne', an outspoken podcaster and Noah, a charming rabbi. Despite coming from completely different worlds with opposing personalities, they fall in love. In Season 2, now streaming on Netflix, we got to see the realities of their relationship beyond the honeymoon phase. Erin Foster told Tudum that the new season delves deeper into how the couple navigates daily challenges, routines, differences, and friendships as they work towards a future together. However, it leaves audiences with a cliffhanger about 'Joanne' and 'Noah's future, and the third season can explore if their cultural and personal divide can be overcome by love.

Nobody Wants This Season 2 has already been met with positive reviews and renewed fan enthusiasm. Apart from Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, the new season features Leighton Meester, Seth Rogen, and returning cast members Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and D'Arcy Carden.
