Nithya Menen is a popular actress in the South Indian film industry who has won hearts with her stellar performances. She became a household name with the Telugu film, Ala Modalaindi. She has primarily worked in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. She made her debut in Bollywood with the movie, Mission Mangal, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. Currently, Nithya is all set to appear in the film, Idli Kadai alongside her Thiruchitrambalam co-star Dhanush. For the uninitiated, the duo will reunite after three years, following the success of their 2022 film at the National Awards.
Idli Kadai, the upcoming Tamil language action drama, is already making a lot of noise. This film marked Dhanush's fourth directorial venture. Fans have been eagerly awaiting to watch the chemistry between Dhanush and Nithya once again on the big screens after Thiruchitrambalam. On September 11, 2025, the makers released a poster featuring Nithya as 'Kayal'. Nithya’s fierce look as 'Kayal', a South Indian woman, has grabbed huge attention.
Soon after the makers released the promising poster of the Thiruchitrambalam actress, netizens rushed to the comment section. Fans have flooded the comment section with heart-eye and love emojis, sharing their excitement about watching Dhanush and Nithya again on the big screens. A fan wrote, "Natural beauty." Sharing a shocking and all good emoji, a user commented, "Look". Sharing a different perspective on makeup, a critic wrote, "You might miss a national award this time if your make-up is not authentic; you should have gone with your original skin tone."
In a past interview with NDTV, Nithya stated that she and Dhanush are very close friends and the duo never sticks to one role. The collaboration gave the impression of a natural progression. She mentioned that it was fun working with him again. She was quoted as saying:
"He is a very familiar person. He is my friend. I think we are all people who don't stick to one role. We are very collaborative. We are people with multiple talents. We always contribute to everything. It's just a natural progression. I didn't see any separate versions of him, but filming was fun."

In the same interview, Nithya Menen said that Dhanush is someone who truly recognises her potential and always pushes her to go further. While working on the National Award-winning movie, Thiruchitrambalam, she had to step out of her comfort zone because the character’s behaviour and economic background were very different from her own. For Idli Kadai, he pushed her even more. She mentioned that Dhanush does this because he believes she can handle it well. In her words:
"Dhanush is one person who truly sees the potential I have, and he pushes it. He pushes that limit, and it throws me off. He does that all the time. With Thiruchitrambalam, I really had to move out of my comfort zone to play that character because her body language and mannerisms were very different from mine. I had to come away from that and go into the character's social and economic background. Then, in this film, he pushes me further. Working with Dhanush feels like it, he says, ‘It's because I know you can do it.’"
