It was one of the saddest days for the television and film fraternity as it lost the most versatile actor, Nitesh Pandey on May 24, 2023. As per the reports, the actor was shooting at Igatpuri near Nashik, where he suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away. His mortal remains were brought back to Mumbai, and glimpses from his funeral have surfaced on social media.
In the pictures, Nitesh’s son, Aarav was seen crying inconsolably after seeing his father’s mortal remains. The doting son was seen in so much pain as he couldn’t stop howling, while his father’s friends and relatives tried to console the little boy. In one of the glimpses, Nitesh’s mother could be seen asking her son to wake up.

Before Nitesh’s last rites, his industry friends reached his house and paid their last respect. Nitesh’s close friend and colleague, Rupali Ganguly was papped outside his home in a devastated condition. The actress could not hold back her tears and was seen crying her heart out as she left Nitesh’s house.

After Nitesh’s death, his whole family was in a complete state of shock. Nitesh’s brother-in-law, Siddharth Nagar, who is a renowned producer in the industry, talked about his family’s condition after the actor’s untimely demise in an interview with ETimes and said:
“My brother-in-law is no more, my sister, Arpita Pandey is in a state of shock. Nitesh’s father has left for Igatpuri to get his mortal remains. Nitesh was much younger than me. He was a very lively person and I don’t think he had a history of any heart ailment."
It was in 1995 when Nitesh made his television debut with the show, Tejas. Nitesh’s splendid work in Tejas got everyone’s attention. Talking about the daily soaps, he has been a part of shows like Manzilein Apani Apani, Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani, Saaya, Justajoo, Durgesh Nandini, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, Indiawaali Maa, Hero – Gayab Mode On, Anupamaa and many more.
Apart from acting, Nitesh also ran an independent production house called Dream Castle Productions, which produced TV shows. Talking about his personal life, the actor was earlier married to actress, Ashwini Kalsekar in 1998, but the two got separated in 2002. He later married TV actress, Arpita Pandey in 2003.
