Boney Kapoor's Mom, Nirmal Passes Away: Janhvi, Shikhar, Shanaya ARRIVE To Pay Tribute

In a piece of sad news, Bollywood stars, Anil, Sanjay and Boney Kapoor's mom, Nirmal, took her last breath on May 2, 2025. The Kapoor's are dealing with the loss of Nirmal, who was 90 when she passed away. Now, Nirmal's grandchildren, Janhvi and Shanaya, were seen at the residence of their uncle, Anil. Janhvi's rumoured boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya, was also spotted at Anil's residence.

Nirmal, who was 90, was the widow of producer, Surinder Kapoor and is also the grandmother of Arjun, Khushi, Anshula and Sonam Kapoor. According to a Times Now report, she was admitted to Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and was suffering from age age-old illness. Shikhar Kapoor was seen donning a man bun with a fractured case on his hand and was seen wearing a white shirt and blue tracks. It seemed like he broke his hand, whose details are not known, but was seen entering Anil's residence with his rumoured girlfriend, Janhvi. The actress, on the other hand, was seen wearing a white kurti and was seen talking to someone on the phone. She then entered her uncle, Anil's, home with Shikhar, and both of them looked completely broken.

In yet another video that floated online, Shikhar was seen standing next to Boney, who looked completely broken as his mother passed away. Shikhar, with a broken hand, was seen working on his phone with his other hand and stood by Janhvi's family during this time of grief. Nirmal has left behind her three sons- Boney, Anil, Sanjay and a daughter, Reena Kapoor, along with their respective families and grandchildren. Reportedly, it was at 5.45 p.m. when Nirmal took her last breath at Mumbai's Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. She was the darling grandmother of top stars like Arjun Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Mohit Marwah, Harshvardhan Kapoor, and Shanaya Kapoor. Her son-in-law is Sandeep Marwah.

Nirmal's granddaughter, Shanaya, who is the daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, was seen in a purple-hued check printed co-ord set at the residence of Anil. She looked heartbroken and was seen talking to someone on the call. Shanaya, as seen in the video, quickly went inside the residence as the gate closed, when paps tried to click more pictures.

Nirmal was known as the matriarch of the Kapoor household. She saw the rise of her children as well as her grandchildren who are all successful stars. Nirmal was always seen in most of the family gatherings of the Kapoors, as any occasion was never complete without her blessings. She had a warm smile in all her pictures, and her kids used to always share emotional notes related to the love they have had for her, who always held the family together with a tight knot. It was in September 2024 when Nirmal turned 90, and her son, Anil, had also shared pictures of her and wished her on her special day. He had written that her presence filled their lives with joy and positivity every day. He also saluted the countless sacrifices she made for the family.
