Bollywood actress, Nikita Dutta is currently making headlines with her newly released film, Jewel Thief - The Heist Begins, starring Saif Ali Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat on Netflix. Nikita Dutta’s childhood days and education

Nikita was born on November 13, 1990, in Delhi, in a Bengali family. She had spent most of her childhood days in Visakhapatnam and Mumbai. Being the daughter of an Indian Navy officer, Nikita’s upbringing was shaped by her father, Anil Kumar Dutta. Nikita did her graduation in Economics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai.

Nikita Dutta became a household name with her TV serial, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste

After her Bollywood debut, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, couldn’t do well at the box office, Nikita started working as a TV actor. In 2015, Nikita made her television debut with the daily soap opera, Dream Girl. However, Nikita made her television breakthrough with the serial, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste in 2016. Soon, the character 'Suman' played by Nikita Dutta became a household name. Later, in 2018, she made her last appearance on TV with the serial, Haasil.

Nikita Dutta made her comeback in Bollywood with Akshay Kumar’s Gold

In 2018, Nikita Dutta made her comeback in Bollywood with the sports drama, Gold, starring Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy. Gold became a commercial hit, earning Rs 1.5 billion worldwide. In the same year, Nikita was also featured in Zoya Akhtar’s Lust Stories. In 2019, Nikita was starred opposite Shahid Kapoor in the film, Kabir Singh. The actress also worked as a lead in the films that include The Big Bull, Dybbuk and Khakee: The Bihar Chapter.

Nikita Dutta’s rumoured affair with Jubin Nautiyal

Nikita Dutta and Jubin Nautiyal’s brewing chemistry became the talk of the town, when Nikita made a post on her Instagram handle on February 26, 2022. The post featured Jubin Nautiyal, and Nikita mentioned in the post that she is in love with the mountains. Later, Jubin’s flirty comment on the post, asking Nikita whether she had left her heart in the mountains, started sparking speculation about the duo dating each other. Jubin sang Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage in Kabir Singh, where Nikita was also featured. However, little do people know, the duo met for the first time on the sets of the TV serial, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste, where Jubin did a playback.

Nikita Dutta and Jubin Nautiyal’s marriage rumours

Amid their dating buzz, there were rumours that both Nikita and Jubin’s families have met with each other. According to media reports, Nikita went down to Jubin’s house in Uttarakhand to plan their wedding. However, in an interview with The Times of India, the duo reacted to the marriage rumours, stating they found the rumours to be funny and just laughed it off. 

With the release of the song, Mast Naazron Se, featuring Jubin Nautiyal and Nikita Dutta, there were speculations about the engagement of the rumoured couple. In an interview with Bombay Times, Jubin once opened up about their dating rumours. Addressing the rumour, Jubin said:

"We would not like to comment on this. I have known Nikita since she did a TV show Ek Duje Ke Vaaste. I sang a song in that show and then we got to know each other well. Nikita and I were just hanging out at a cafe in Juhu for some time. I would not like to comment on whether we are dating or not, because one thing leads to another and we don't want to become the subject of gossip."
