Well, almost every year, C-Suite Comp releases the official list of the top 10 highest-paid CEOs in the United States. The list instantly broke the internet as the most famous Indian-origin billionaires, Sundar Pichai (Google and Alphabet's CEO) and Satya Nadella (Microsoft's CEO), couldn't make it to the list.

It was shocking news for almost everyone, as Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadela are the two most recognised and admired Indian-origin CEOs in the US. Tesla's CEO, Elon Musk, is the highest-paid CEO, with an estimated annual compensation of 1.4 billion USD. Other renowned names in the list include Palantir Technologies' Alexander Karp (1.1 billion USD), Airbnb's Brian Chesky (303.5 million USD), and Oracle's Safra Catz (304.1 million).
It's fair to say that the omission of Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadela from the list of top 10 highest-paid CEOs in the US upset a lot of Indians. However, it's not all lost for India, as Palo Alto Networks' CEO, Nikesh Arora, makes it to the list. Yes! You read it right. We have an Indian-origin CEO on the list, who has an estimated annual compensation of around 266.4 million USD for leading the renowned American multinational cybersecurity company. Nikesh Arora has surpassed Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadela to enter into the esteemed list, making his mark in the billionaires index.
For the uninitiated, Nikesh Arora received an annual compensation of 151.4 million USD last year, but a massive jump of 115 million USD has placed him on the tenth spot in C-Suite Comp's list of top 10 highest-paid CEOs in the United States. Coming from an Army background, Nikesh was born in Ghaziabad and is a graduate of IIT (BHU). Before joining Palo Alto Networks, he has worked at Google and SoftBank. Currently, Nikesh serves as the Chairman and CEO of Palo Alto Networks and the multinational company has an estimated market cap of Rs. 9,558 trillion.

Nikesh Arora isn't the only Indian, who has made waves in the business space, Yamini Rangan is another billionaire, who has been dominating the headlines since the release of C-Suite Comp's list. For the uninitiated, Yamini is on the eighth spot in the list of top 10 female CEOs in the US, with an estimated annual compensation of 2.57 million USD. Yamini is the only Indian woman on the list, as she is joined by the likes of Coty Inc's Sue Nabi, Levi Strauss & Co's Michelle Gass, Accenture PLC's Julie Sweet, Citigroup Inc's Jane Fraser, and many more. Yamini is the CEO of the renowned American developer and software company, HubSpot. She is one of the biggest women CEOs in the world as she is leading HubSpot, whose market cap is more than Rs. 2.11 lakh crore.
Yamini Rangan moved to the US from India when she was just 21 years old to pursue her American dream. However, she couldn't get a job immediately and faced many financial issues. Yamini struggled a lot in her early days, and there came a point in her life when she only had Rs. 12,300 left in her pocket. When she could not find a job, she worked as a waitress at a cafe in the Atlanta football stadium. Yamini holds a bachelor's degree in computer engineering and an MBA degree but could not land a job.
However, things soon changed, and Yamini Rangan got the chance to work with renowned companies like SAP, Lucent, Workday, and Dropbox. It was in 2020 that she joined Hubspot as a chief customer executive, and within a year, she was promoted to the position of CEO. As of now, Yamini's estimated net worth is around the whopping sum of Rs. 263 crore. She is the highest-paid CEO of the Indian-origin in the US and continues to make her mark in the IT space. It's incredible how Nikesh Arora and Yamini Rangan are making Indians proud of the way they're leading such big companies.
