One of the most promising actresses in Hollywood, Nicole Kidman, requires no introduction, as the actress remains among the highest-paid stars. Nicole is currently leading the headlines after reports of her separation from Keith Urban surfaced in the media. The duo reported parting ways quietly after 19 years of marital bliss and have been living separately for the past few months.
Nicole Kidman has experienced many heartaches, not just in her marriages, but also in embracing motherhood. The actress who loves kids always wished to have more children. But her struggle with infertility was always a hurdle. Nicole, who has openly discussed her struggles with becoming a mother, is a mom to four kids.
After getting married to Tom Cruise, Nicole tried to conceive; however, the actress experienced an ectopic pregnancy. The couple then adopted Isabella in 1992 and Connor in 1995. However, after ten years of marital bliss, Nicole and Tom parted ways.
But adding more pain to her life was her miscarriage. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Nicole spoke about the traumatic phase and shared:
“So it's huge news, and it didn't happen. I had a miscarriage at the end of my marriage, but I had an ectopic pregnancy at the beginning of my marriage. It was incredibly traumatic for me."
After her divorce from Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman got married to Australian-American country singer, Keith Urban. It was in 2008 that Nicole gave birth to the couple’s first daughter, Sunday Rose, naturally at the age of 41. She has often called Sunday’s birth a miracle, looking back at her traumatic experience with fertility. In 2010, Nicole and Keith’s second daughter, Faith Margaret, was born via gestational surrogate when Nicole was 43.

Nicole has been candid about her fertility struggles in interviews and discussions to alleviate the stigma faced by women. She once addressed her fertility issues in an interview with a leading publication and revealed:
“Anyone that’s been in the place of wanting another child or wanting a child knows the disappointment, the pain, and the loss that you go through trying and struggling with fertility. Fertility is such a big thing, and it’s not something I’ve ever run away from talking about. We were in a place of desperately wanting another child. This opportunity arose for us, and I couldn’t get pregnant...children are children—you’ll die for your children. And when you feel that as a parent—that’s the unconditional love.”
