Nick Jonas Opens Up About Being A Parent To Malti With Wife, Priyanka Chopra, 'The Best Part...'

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are among the most loved celebrity couples worldwide. Priyanka has won hearts with her acting in India and abroad, while Nick has made people groove to his music along with his brothers. Fans were delighted when the couple tied the knot and welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie. They don't talk much about their little one but often reveal bits of updates about her in interviews. In one interview, Nick recently opened up about being Malti's father and shared whether she understands his popularity.

Nick Jonas shares his feelings on being a father to Malti 

Nick Jonas and his wife, Priyanka Chopra, welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, in January 2022. The global pop star recently sat down for an interview with People and shared his experience as a father to a two-year-old. He shared that he might feel like the coolest person on the stage, but that doesn't matter when he is at home with his daughter, who is unaware of his achievements. In his words: 

"The best part about being a dad for me and balancing things like this work stuff — and this is hard work — is that you could feel like your coolest self on top of the world, and she just doesn't care at all."

Nick shared that at this young age, Malti is more interested in playing games about the popular Disney princess, Moana and his partner, Maui, with him. But this simple activity means a lot to him more than anything else. The singer admitted that rather than feeling offended, he is happy that he is just a 'dad' for his daughter at home. Sharing his feelings on fatherhood, Nick said: 

"She wants to play Moana and Maui with me, which means more to me than anything else. That time with her is precious, and the fact that I'm just 'Dad' when I'm home means a lot."

Nick Jonas reveals if his daughter, Malti, understands his popularity 

In an interview at JonasCon, Nick Jonas was asked if his daughter, Malti, understands his popularity. But, the singer shared that she identifies his brothers and their band in her cute way. He mentioned that she calls his brother, Joe as 'Go'. Also, Nick shared that she could only identify her uncles when he showed her the cover of their new single. At the same time, Malti, who has often been to their concerts, calls their band 'Jonas Brothers' as 'Donut Brothers'.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas first met when he sent her a Twitter DM, and they later met at the Vanity Fair Oscars party in 2017. The duo began dating a year later, and after months of dating, they tied the knot at a grand Hindu and Christian ceremony in December 2018. The couple welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, via surrogacy in January 2022.
