HBO reveals the new cast members appearing on The White Lotus Season 4

While HBO has not confirmed a release date, they disclosed the actors finalized for The White Lotus Season 4. HBO shared an Instagram post on January 30, 2026 (ET), which included pictures of the new cast members. The first in the list is Helena Bonham Carter, who recently appeared in Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials on Netflix. The next is Amanda Joy ‘AJ’ Michalka, who is a popular face among television audiences for her roles in shows such as The Goldbergs, Steven Universe, and She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.

Famous comedian Steve Coogan, who voiced 'Barnabus' in The Sandman, has also been cast for an important role in Season 4. There is also Caleb Jonte Edwards, who has appeared on projects like Black Snow and The Man and the Woman. Marissa Long is also included among the lead cast of Season 4. The Hunger Games star, Alexander Ludwig, is confirmed to be a part of the upcoming season, alongside Chris Messina, known for his roles in Birds of Prey, The Newsroom, The Mindy Project, Based on a True Story, and more.

The White Lotus Season 4 will be set in a completely new location

The storyline for the first three seasons of The White Lotus was set in different locations. After Hawaii, Sicily, and Thailand, the show will shift to France in Season 4. The series has already collaborated with The Four Seasons, which has multiple branches everywhere, with a few located in France. Mike White, the creator of the show, has previously opened up about his intention to shoot one of the seasons in Australia. During his interview on The Bill Simmons Podcast in February 2025, Mike said that his dream is to shoot in every continent, adding that Australia has a “huge wealth of talent” and its beauty is also different.

While speaking in an interview for HBO Max in April 2025, Mike White said that The White Lotus Season 4 might undergo a change this time, with the setting being shifted from the beaches to some other location. Mike added that he was aiming to do something like the “satirizing stuff” that he had known so far, including a film festival. Mike said that choosing a new theme would be a “little less heady” compared to what they have done so far in the show.
