Alia Bhatt turned heads at Milan Fashion Week by ditching her usual soft-girl style for a striking gothic ensemble as she represented Gucci as its global brand ambassador. On the sidelines of the show, Alia provided an update on her much-awaited film, Alpha, which is set to release on December 25, 2025. The actress expressed her excitement about the release. However, her comment left her fans divided.
Alia Bhatt's presence at the Milan Fashion Week didn't go unnoticed. The gorgeousness was dressed in a mini dress with a plunging neckline. However, the centre of attention was the oversized faux fur coat that gave her look an edge. Additionally, the actress discussed her film, Alpha, for the first time and shared her excitement about its release. She was quoted as saying:
"Wow, it’s pretty close. That’s a big one for me because it’s my first venture into action, and I’m really curious to see how the audience connects with that."
Alia Bhatt's remark quickly sparked reactions online, with many netizens pointing out that Alia had already performed action sequences in Jigra and Heart of Stone. The clip was soon circulated on the discussion platform, Reddit, and several users criticised the actress for conveniently ignoring her previous outings. One wrote, "The Majority of Jigra was action-oriented… if you say Jigra ‘barely had any action,’ then you must have watched a completely different film." Another user added, "Why would she ever admit that her last two outings were action films since both flopped at the box office and digitally? Negative light mein aa jaati Alpha."
Some also suggested that Alia tends to avoid acknowledging films that underperform. A comment read, "Shhh, we never talk about Sadak, Kalank, Heart of Stone or Jigra." A user penned, "Not accepting your failures speaks a lot about a person. Might also indicate one never learns from it either." A user sarcastically wrote, "She wasn't even in Jigra." However, several also took a jab at her attire for the event and said, "Such a big liar, my Goodness! Also, she looks really scary, like wtf."
While many didn't agree with Alia Bhatt's comment, others came to Alia's defence. They argued that her roles in Jigra and Heart of Stone did not qualify as full-fledged action, unlike Alpha. One comment read, "If one or two action sequences are enough to qualify as an action movie, then almost every old Indian love story is also action."

The actress's look was striking and a vivid contrast to her usual soft and pastel looks. The attire was structured around a massive, oversized faux fur coat, and she carried it beautifully, complemented by smoky kohl-rimmed eyes and muted pink shadow. While the internet was divided over her look, it was definitely different from her usual style.
