It was after reports of Ananya and Aditya's separation surfaced online when the actress' dad, Chunky Panday's photo with the actor went viral. And now, the veteran actor, Chunky's IG activity has grabbed netizens' attention.
On June 8, 2024, when Chunky Panday took to his IG handle and dropped a bunch of photos from a beverage advertisement, which was shot at a beach. One of these photos featured a cute selfie of Chunky along with Aditya, which caught netizens' attention. Now, a Redditor dropped a screengrab from Chunky's comment section of the recent post that featured Aditya. What caught the attention was that Ananya's father's like on a comment, wherein a netizen mentioned Aditya as his 'damad.'

After the screengrab of Chunky Panday's like on comment mentioning Aditya as his damad surfaced online, netizens reacted to the same. Some users joked about whether Ananya and Aditya would get married, and others wondered if the photo was from any of the movie's shoots. One user penned, "They are going to marry in summer eating pasta". Another user commented, "Koi movie kar rahe honge saath ke bhai."
Previously, in an interview with Lehran, Chunky Panday was asked about his daughter, Ananya Panday's speculated relationship with Aditya Roy Kapur, and how she often talks about her rumoured lover. To this, Chunky said that it's fine by him and he wouldn't dare to interfere in his 25-year-old, daughter's personal life. He also added that he could've talked to his daughter about her relationship if she was 14 years old, but she is not. Chunky also added that Ananya is earning more than him now, so there's no point interfering in her relationship.

It was when Ananya Panday posted a cryptic note on her IG story about 'letting go' and 'lessons' in life that the speculations about her breakup with Aditya started making the headlines. Later, a report by the Bombay Times stated that Ananya and Aditya had actually broken up, and they had decided to be cordial with one another after the split. A source added that there was hurt, but the couple had been trying to handle the situation. The source revealed that while Ananya was spending time with her furry friend, on the other hand, Aditya was dealing with the situation maturely.
