While on the sitcom, Leanne talks about divorce, she has been married to her husband, Chuck Morgan, for over thirty years. Chuck and Leanne met each other during the 1990s. It was during her mid-20s when she was pursuing a degree in child and family studies from the University of Tennessee. Alongside, she was working at a restaurant when she crossed paths with Chuck.

Back then, Chuck was pursuing an MBA and used to come for snacks in the same place where the actress worked. Talking about the same with her daughter, Maggie, Leanne said on her YouTube that Chuck seemed to her like a 'praying mantis', a tall and lean man. Leanne recounted:

“Your daddy, Chuck Morgan, was in MBA school and came to work [at the restaurant]. They had a group of trainees come through. And I’m standing up against the wall waiting for my table to be seated. He’s tall. He’s 6’4″. He’s so thin. He looks like a praying mantis. I mean that in a sweet way. And I said, ‘You’re as tall as a tree.'”

Leanne and Chuck eventually fell in love. In an interview with Fresh Air, Leanne jokingly shared that her husband was obsessed with her, wouldn't leave her alone, and even stalked her when he was studying at the University of Tennessee. Leanne shared:

"He, you know, was just so crazy about me. And when I was at the University of Tennessee [he] would not leave me alone and stalked me, really."

Leanne and Chuck got married back in 1993, when she was 26 years old. In the same year, the couple became parents to their son, Charlie. After their marriage, Leanne decided to return to school and finish her degree, which proves how supportive her husband has been. They eventually welcomed their daughters, Maggie and Tess. The couple who began dating in their 20s is now walking the phase of being grandparents, and it's simply adorable. Talking about Chuck, he reportedly started running his mobile home business in his 20s, where he worked for years and later sold it, following which he moved into a big mobile home company.

In an interview with Garden and Gun, Leanne stated that her ex-husband used to make fun of her and told her that she had issues with her diction and should change the way she speaks. Recalling her turbulent first marriage, Leanne Morgan shared:

“I was married before Chuck, only for two and a half years. And [my ex-husband] said to me, ‘I think people are making fun of you. You need to have diction lessons. You need to change how you talk.’ And I never believed that.”
