Will Netflix Bring Back 'Ripple' For Season 2? All We Know About The Expected Cast And Plot Theories

The Netflix series, Ripple premiered on December 3, 2025, and became the perfect series to end the year on a high note for viewers. The series featured a compelling story about unexpected connections among its characters. The drama unfolds around four main characters: 'Walter', 'Nate', 'Kris', and 'Aria', each facing personal challenges. However, is the eight-show series the end or the beginning of something new? Let's find out.

Where did Ripple Season 1 end?

Ripple Season 1 grapples with the sudden death of 'Walter's' wife and how he finds solace at 'Lumi', who is not a person, but a wine bar owned by 'Nate', whose marriage is hanging by a loose thread itself. An unexpected injury further leads 'Nate' to discover he has cancer. 'Kris', on the other hand, is a newly unemployed music executive who also seeks refuge at the wine bar and connects deeply with 'Nate'. 'Aria' is a talented singer who is struggling with her career and a rocky relationship with 'John'.

By the end of Season 1, 'Nate' survives a severe infection and gets accepted into a clinical trial, while also mourning the death of a young patient, 'Finn', with whom he had bonded during chemotherapy. 'Kris' wants to support 'Nate' but acknowledges the need for patience, which she may or may not have. 'Walter' reflects on 'Lumi's' place in his life and partners with 'Nate' to preserve the bar. 'Aria' decides to tour despite conflict with 'John' leading to a misunderstanding, while 'Kris' recieves a bamboo plant from 'Nate' as a symbol of hope for their connection.

Will there be Ripple Season 2?

While Ripple Season 1 ends ambiguously, leaving the characters' futures open to exploration, Netflix has not yet announced Season 2. Given the unresolved plotlines, fans are hopeful for more. The finale concludes without clear outcomes for 'Nate's' trial, 'Aria's' tour, or how these characters will reunite in New York City. As we wait for confirmation, let's explore the possibilities for Ripple Season 2.

Will Ripple Season 2 further tangle the fates of its characters?

Ripple Season 1 ended with 'Nate' heading to Houston for the cancer trial, while 'Kris' is in New York collaborating with hospitalised children. 'Walter' is the co-owner of a bar with 'Nate' and has traveled to Napa to explore wine. 'Aria' is on tour, as she struggles with her marriage to 'John', and uncovers a clue about her father, linking him to an album cover tattoo. It is expected that Ripple Season 2 will expand on these storylines and introduce new characters whose lives will further intertwine with our four leads. While 'Nate's' future is uncertain, the trial offers hope for his relationship with 'Kris'.
