Taking to her IG handle on January 19, 2026, Neha Kakkar shared an IG story, wherein she revealed that she has made the decision to take a break from social media, relationships and responsibilities. She further added that she's not sure whether she would return or not, while requesting paps not to follow her and let her live in peace.

Neha Kakkar asked people to respect her privacy and not take any pictures of her. Well, to mention, it was only after a few minutes that she deleted her IG stories. The entire incident left people confused about what happened. The reason for Neha Kakkar's decision to take a break from social media hasn't been known, and she herself hasn't disclosed it yet. However, her fans and other social media users felt like the singer might have been affected by the limitless trolling that she faced for her song, Candy Shop.

It was in 2025 when Neha Kakkar found herself in a deep-neck controversy. Neha had a concert in Melbourne, and a video from the same place went viral, where Neha was seen crying, leaving social media users to wonder what actually happened to her. Later, Tony Kakkar took to his social media and penned that people should respect artists.

Later, Neha Kakkar revealed that she performed for free at the Melbourne concert, and the organisers ran off with her money. On the other hand, the organisers revealed that Neha Kakkar arrived 3 hours late at the concert and didn't even want to sing for a smaller crowd. Organisers mentioned that the singer was fully paid, and that she made false claims, such incident ended up sparking a controversy.

Neha Kakkar began her career after she gave an audition for Indian Idol 2, and following this, she eventually made a name for herself in the industry. The singer gave some of the best songs. It was with her last song Candy Shop that she was trolled, and apart from that, Neha also often becomes the target of trolling, and it's due to her being overly sensitive, but the singer often revealed that it doesn't matter to her what others think.
